Chapter 19: The Chunin exams

   It was the next day and team 7 was waiting  for their sensei who was very late, which it wasn't a surprise for the three genin but it was still irritating, they were waiting for him for hours on the bridge and yet he didn't show up.

  As Nerida and her ghost companions were walking to the bridge, Hashirama took notice on how Madara was near Nerida the whole time and everytime he or any other ghost came near her, he would flash out his sharingan as a warning. But he would do it more when he would sense Tobirama coming even a movement close to Nerida.

  'Did something happen between the two of them? Why is Madara being so protective of her?' Hashirama wondered, heck even Izuna was also questioning his brother's behavior that is completely out of character.

  Meanwhile with Shisui, he was trying to keep up a smile despite being absolutely annoyed that Madara was hogging Nerida all to himself. The tick mark on the side of his temples was growing by the minute.

  'Why is he so close to her? Did he say something during that time when we found them in her room?' Shisui's mind was being bombarded with theories and unanswered explainations, but one things for sure: He doesn't like it one bit.

  Nerida felt something was off and looked at Shisui, who lit up like a happy puppy and beamed at her.

  "Is something wrong Shisui, I feel something is bothering you more than usual?" Nerida asked.

Shisui took this opportunity and went by Nerida's side, ignoring the glare that Madara sent him.

  "Aww, is snow white worried about me? I'm so touched~" Shisui teased.

  The nymph was unimpressed at his attempt huffed, "Be serious right now Uchiha."

"Which one snow angel?" Shisui mockingly asked.

"*Gasp* was I not talking to one? oh silly me!" Nerida shook her head.

  Izuna let out a snort and covered his mouth to muffle his laughter. Hashirama was fake coughing while also trying not to laugh. Minato and Tobirama let out a chuckle while Madara sent a smirk to Shisui. Anyone could tell that smirk meant ''know your place".

  Shisui coughed in embarrassment as Nerida let out a small chuckle, "I'm kidding crow ghost, If you wanted to talk to me then help yourself. No need to give hedgehog here a fake smile."

  "Could you please stop calling me hedgehog you block of ice?!" Madara shouts.

  Nerida raised a brow, " 'Block of ice?' My your insults are weak. Did your creative words deteriorate just like your corpse or were you like this when you were alive?"

  Madara scoffs, "Ha! Please you don't know who I was when I was alive. If I was still here, you wouldn't even be standing right now."

Now this time, it was Nerida's time to scoff, "Oh I'm sooo terrified~ The oversized gorilla's ego has been crushed by a girl who is smaller, "weaker", and prettier!"

Madara growled, "You insolent-"

"Alright time out! TIme out!" Minato went inbetween the two of them with 'sweatdrops' rolling down is face. The dead blonde felt his soul being pulled up to the heavens above.

  "HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Hashirama was having the time of his dead life, heck even Izuna was holding onto his shoulders and holding his stomach from laughing.

  Nerida was the last member to come since Kakashi would make some lame excuse of being late. Sasuke was irritated because Sakura was giving him flirty looks and heart eyes. But when he saw Nerida, his eyes softened and a small dust of pink covered his cheeks.
