On The Walk Back

It was a cold December night back in Mondstadt. Angel Share on the other hand stayed warm. Diluc was clearly irritated by the sight of a drunk bard waisted on the floor. Drool falling from the end of Barbatos mouth.

"Is about time you get going" said Diluc with an annoyed tone of voice.

"Aw c'mon diluc don't ruin all the fun plus if you let me say for a while longer, I can pay you with a performance! " said venti with his usual pipsqueak chinchilla voice.

"No. Now get out of my tavern before I ban you from ever stepping a foot in here again. "With that Venti knew he had to get going before Master Diluc gets serous.

"Alright alright. I'll see you tomorrow have a blissful night Master Diluc!"

Venti couldn't even walk in a straight line. He kept mumbling thing to himself. It was cold, and lonely. It was nights like this that made him re-live memories form his past. Dvalin was away for a while so he couldn't go to his dear old friend ( the last one he got at least LMAO). But not everything was lost for this poor bard. Windrise is his safe place for times when Dvalin is away.

He's been walking for a while now but it is no use. He's barley making any progress in his journey. Venti decides to summon a wind current ehn nobody was watching and began gliding. He remembers something, well it was actually someone.

In the big Tree that he likes to rest on and play his lyre. There was somebody waiting form him. Windrise gave him a warm feeling that he would find safety in. But there was another reason why he would go there. It was Xiao. After meeting Xiao years ago (you make the math) they would meet on one of the branches.

Finally Venti arrived to Windrise. He could see Xiao from a branch higher up.  Xiao on his side, could smell the alcohol from miles away.
"You're drunk, again" said Xiao with a hint of concern in his voice

"Yes, drunk form missing you so much my warrior" Venti said in his usual playful voice

He noticed something poking from Xiao's head. He was quite shocked to find out it was a pair of cat ears.

"Cat ears?" - venti

"Oh yes, Childe kept telling Zhongli to wear them for him to make him happy" -Xaio

"Oh and he made you put them on? "
- Venti

"No no, I did it myself... I thought that maybe it would be a good idea to surprise you with them" -Xiao

"Do you like it?" Asks Xiao as he begins to feel nervous and his heard starts to speed up.

"Yes I do! You look like a little kitten eheh miow~" said venti in a teasing voice

Xiao's cheeks begins to turn into a light shade of red. Venti as he notices, starts rubbing his ears. They were soft and felt nice to the touch. Xiao turns his head away form Venti's point of view. He trys his best to hide that it felt nice.
