Vi x Reader (Arcane: LoL)

The Big Job

(You are 15 as of right now, and you have a purple streak through your hair when Ekko dyed it as a prank. This will be important later.)

YOUR POV..

     "Hey, Ekko.. where's Vi?" I ask, walking into Benzo's shop. I wave at Benzo and he smiles at me. I sit next to Ekko waiting for him to respond. I notice he's too caught up in his clock tower to say anything. "Little man?.. Earth to Ekko." I say, waving my hand in front of his face.

     "He's too focused on that. He's been like this for a while.. But I gotta head out for a bit, mind watching over him, Hart?" Benzo says, getting up and putting a hand on my shoulder.

     "It's what I do best, Benzo." I say with a smile and hug him before he heads out. I look back at Ekko. "Spill." I see Ekko put his head down and I sit next to him again.

     "I gave them a tip. For a penthouse in Piltover.." He said with a hint of guilt. I look at him confused, wondering why he was so worked up about it. "I have a really bad feeling about it." He said, looking up at me.

     "Hey, it's okay, Ekko. You know Vi.. she's strong. If anyone can break into a penthouse in Piltover.. it's her." I say, pushing the back of his head lightly. He sighs and starts working on his mini clock tower. 

     "Easy for you to say.." He says quietly. I hummed and asked him what he meant by that. "You're dating, right? It's easy for you to have hope in her." He said. My face flushed red. 

     "Dating? No, we're just friends, little man." I said, laughing nervously. 

     "Anyway, will you help me with this? This stupid part isn't working good." He said, throwing a wrench into my lap. He gets up and walks away, as I start tightening the piece he was talking about. For some reason, it was extremely hard. I think he might've broke it or something, because it wasn't budging. I twist harder, finally getting it to move a little. I keep twisting harder and harder until it finally twists all the way. I call him over and he looks at it. He latches onto me tightly, hugging me. I pat his back and yawn, going to sit down at Benzo's desk. 

     "I'm gonna rest for a bit, Ekko.. I've been working all morning at the last drop. If Benzo comes back just tell him-" He cuts me off.

     "You accidentally fell asleep because you were so exhausted from work, but you've only been sleeping for five minutes." Ekko mocks me. I laugh to myself and lay my head down. Usually I would've stayed up and watched him, but I really was exhausted.

     I wake up to Ekko quietly calling my name. I look outside and it's darker out, now.

     "How long have I been sleeping, Ekko?" I ask him, rubbing my eyes.

     "I don't know, not that long.. but look!" Ekko pointed towards the window, where you could clearly see Benzo, Vander and.. Enforcers?.. Why were they here? "They've been talking for-" Ekko gets cut off by Vander and Benzo coming in.

     "Hey, we need you two to lay low for a bit.. and you." Vander says, looking at me. I immediately stiffen up, thinking I've done something wrong. "Violet wants to see you, she's been asking for you ever since she got back from her little.. trip." He says with a warm smile. My face suddenly lights up, and I rush to grab my bag. I hear Vander let out a small chuckle and sigh.

     "Love you guys, I'm gonna go!" I say, practically running out of the door. I run through the lanes until I find the last drop. I go to the room connected to it, and open the door. Suddenly, the pink haired girl pops her head up from laying down. 

     "Hart!" She says, hopping off the couch and hugging me. I stumble back and wrap my arms around her as well. "I missed you so much.." She says, slowly pulling away from the hug.

     "It's only been a day, Vi.. you can't miss me that much." I say, giggling.

     "Oh trust me, I can." She said, grabbing my hand. "Come on, I got you something.." She runs out of the building, still dragging my along with her. I don't struggle to keep up with her since I ran quite a lot, just never for stuff like stealing. We stopped after we got to a certain building. I know this place. This is where me and Vi go if we want privacy. She hops up the building with ease, and leans her arm down for me to grab onto. I grab her hand and she pulls up, easily getting me onto the roof. We both sat down as she began to speak. "So.. you know how the last kunai you had broke?" 

     "Yeah, why?" I said, staring into her eyes. She cleared her throat, looking away.

     "Look." She said, pulling out another one. This one was much more advanced, though. It had cracks in it, but they weren't any ordinary cracks. They had some type of blue glowing stuff in them. "Go on, take it." She said, pushing her hand towards mine. I carefully take it out of Vi's hand, and look at it. I swirl it in my hands, as it effortlessly twirls around. "You make that look so easy.." She says, looking at my hand in awe. I set it down and look at her. "Wha-" I cut her off by tackling her onto the ground. I hug her tight and hear her laugh. It was nice to hear her laugh every once in a while.

     "Thank you, Vi.." I said, laying my head on her chest. I could feel her heart beat quicken. "Are you okay?"

     "I'm doing amazing.. y'know why?" She says. I hum in response. "Because you're by me." I smile at her words as we lay there on the rooftop, the light from the stars shining onto us. Slowly but surely, I drift off into a deep sleep.
