Pheobe Tonkin as Audrey Stark
LAS VEGAS – Ceasar's Palace
"Tony Stark. Visionary. Genius. American Patriot. Even from an early age, the son of legendary weapons developer Howard Stark quickly stole the spotlight with his brilliant and unique mind. At age four, he built his first circuit board. At age six, his first engine. And at seventeen, he graduated summa cum laude from MIT. Then, the passing of a titan. Howard Stark's lifelong friend and ally, Obadiah Stane, steps in to help fill the gap left by the legendary founder, until, at age twenty-one, the prodigal son returns and is anointed the new CEO of Stark Industries," a man informed through the presentation, and everyone clapped.
One of the people that was clapping was Obadiah Stane himself and next to him was a young woman. She looked to be nineteen years of age with long, wavy brown hair and greenish-brown hazel eyes. Her smooth skin was a light olive color and she had some sharp features. She wore a dark green dress that seemed to accent her eyes, making them look greener in color. It was long, reaching her ankles and had a slit up the side as the dress hugged her body, making it easier to walk in. The neckline was a halter-neck while the back drooped a little to her mid-back. On her red lips was a proud smile as she saw the pictures of Tony growing and advancing in the company. Her name was Audrey Stark, his younger sister.
"With the keys to the kingdom, Tony ushers in a new era for his father's legacy, creating smarter weapons, advanced robotics, satellite targeting. Today, Tony Stark has changed the face of the weapons industry by ensuring freedom and protecting America and her interests around the globe." With that, everyone applauded again.
"Wanna tell me where that brother of yours is?" Obadiah asked Audrey quietly and she sighed.
"You already know the answer to that, Obadiah," she answered making him roll his eyes.
"Great," he uttered sarcastically while James "Rhodey" Rhodes stepped up to the podium.
"As liaison to Stark Industries, I've had the unique privilege of serving with a real patriot. He is my friend, and he is my mentor. Ladies and gentlemen, it is my honor to present this year's Apogee Award to Mr. Tony Stark," Rhodey announced, and everyone began clapping while Audrey stood and began walking to the stage. "Tony?" He asked, not seeing his friend before seeing the young woman come up as Obadiah shook his head at Rhodey to show Rony wasn't there. Audrey gave an apologetic look to him as she came up.
"Thank you, Colonel," she said making smile a bit at her as she took the crystal reward.
"Thanks for the save," he uttered to her before stepping aside.
"Wow, this is beautiful. I'd like to thank you all for it, especially on my brother's behalf. I know he'd be grateful to have won this award, and if I were him, I'd tell you that it was an honor and a privilege to receive it," Audrey said smoothly with a charming smile on her face. "Well, what can I tell you about Tony? The best thing about him would happen to also be one of his faults – he's continuously working. Unfortunately, he couldn't make it here tonight due to that work. But I can tell you this, it isn't without the best intentions. When we had lost our parents, he stepped up," she explained, a sad glint coming to her eyes. "He took care of me while Obadiah was kind enough to take over the company until Tony was ready. I'm eternally grateful to have both men in my life just as I know this country is grateful to have them. Now, creating weapons, some would say it's begging for danger. But my brother... no, he doesn't want that. He wants to make sure that the people in this country and many other innocent lives have the choice to remain safe and protected. Just as my father did. And it's because you're all here that it shows it's working, and I can't help but feel proud of Tony. So, thank you again for this, on behalf of me, Stark Industries, and most importantly, my brother Tony Stark. Thank you," she said, and everyone clapped before she made her way off the stage, Rhodey lending her a hand, so she didn't trip. Obadiah walked over and gave her a warm smile.
