Y/n continued walking through the forests, when was this going to end?? they thought to themself. Their feet collapsed underneath them and they fell to the grassy floor, they stayed there for a few moments before sluggishly pulling themself up and slumping onto their butt, sitting in a cross-legged position. They finally looked around at were they were, it was a beautiful forest with a nice stream that they had just walked through without even noticing. They rubbed their eyes trying to see if they were dreaming, they blinked a couple times before placing their hand on the top of their head and realising just how tired they were. They slowly took their bag off of their shoulders, releiving some of the tension in their back. They rolled their shoulders and yawned. as they looked back down at the stream the ground beneath them suddenly felt incredibly soft, like what you would imagine a cloud to feel like. without realising they slowly layed down and moved into their normal sleeping position, and decided to sleep for a little while, just for a couple minutes.

《time skip》

Y/n opened their eyes to see a girl that looked around the same age as them with short Curly hair, they were wearing an embroidered blue skirt and white shirt with colourful decorations all over her outfit, she seemed to be reading something, a notebook of some kind. You sat up slightly and rubbed your eyes to look at the young girl more clearly. She had Hazel eyes and was wearing round, green glasses. She heard you groan as you rubbed your shoulders due to all the pain and tension from walking for hours with a heavy bag, she looked up at you and smiled sweetly,

'you're awake!'

She said excitedly, you looked at her dazed with your hand still on your shoulder

'how.. did I get here? Where am I..? I have so many questions'

you muttered still sounding sleepy. You heard a chuckle from someone entering the room and assumed they were laughing at how confused you were. You looked around slightly noticing your bag at your feet. You looked over at the door quick enough to see the person who laughed leaving, they had a yellow poncho and short Curly hair, similar to the girl across from you but a little bit lighter and slightly shorter. As the door shut behind them you looked back over at the girl waiting for her to speak. She continues to smile before speaking

'Someone from the town found you passed out and they brought you here, to la casita'

She smiled again before continuing

'I'm Mirabel, Mirabel Madrigal, what's your name?'

You smiled softly, still a little confused

'I'm y/n..'

you sigh and explain why you were wandering around in the hills of the Encanto 《in this part you can choose why you left home》 Mirabel reaches out and puts her hand on your shoulder

'I'm sorry you had to go through that Y/n, You can stay here if you'd like. I'm sure Mi abuela wouldn't mind'

You nod and smile wiping a small tear from your eye before speaking up

'Thank you so much, Mirabel'

She smiled and grabbed your hand

'Come on, I'll introduce you to the family Madrigal'

You stood up using her hand as a form of balance before letting go and following her out of the room and down stairs. As you follow her out of the room you look around, finally taking in your surroundings. As you looked around the room you saw all the glowing doors with names and depictions of different people on each door, except for one. This door was different, it didn't have any images on it, nor a name and it glowed more than the rest, there was no texture to it, it just looked like a golden cloud, you stopped for a moment and pointed towards it

'uh.. Mirabel? How come that door is different?'

she turned and looked at the door you were pointing at, she smiled but looked a little sad. she paused for a moment before looking over at you and saying softly

'that's my younger cousin, Antonio's door. He's getting his gift soon!'

you tilted your head slightly, confused at the statement.

'His gift..? Is it his birthday soon?'

she chuckled a little before turning to look at you fully.

'I suppose you could say that, every year on the Madrigal children's 5th birthday we are given a gift, almost like a super power. But before you ask I uh.. I don't have one, I stay in the nursery which you woke up in, hence why you don't see my name on any of the doors.

You nod taking in all the information before continuing to look around, you looked up to the ceiling noticing that there was an empty space in the ceiling to let in light. You noticed that it was starting to get dark meaning that it must be somewhere around 5 pm. You followed Mirabel down the stairs and into a kitchen. It smelled of warm pastries, immediately making you hungry. Mirabel bounced in and called out

'mama, Their awake, this is y/n!'

You looked over to the person standing near the oven. There was a slightly older lady with a beautiful smile on her face.

'Nice to meet you y/n' She smiles and flips one of the pastries 'How are you feeling?'

You took a moment to breath in the smell of the pastries as your stomach growled. Your eyes widened and you blushed a little in embarrassment. You went to grab your stomach but hissed at the sharp pain you felt in your shoulder.

'A little hungry and my shoulders are a bit sore but aside from that I'm okay

You gave her a warm smile and Mirabel turns to you, smiling.

'well luckily for you, my mum's gift is to heal people with food!'

Jullietta wraps one of the pastries and hands it you with a warm smile.

'eat up, you'll feel better in no time.'

you smile slightly before biting into the delicious looking pastry. It tastes better than anything you'd ever had. you continued to chomp into the pastry hungrily as you felt all of the tension and pain leaving your upper body. You looked back over at Julietta

'Thank you so much, your cooking is amazing!'

Her and Mirabel smiled at you before an older woman walked in. She had a pink dress with a black cardigan over the top. She looked at you and you waved with a smile.

'ah, you must be y/n'

You take a step back, a little confused at how she knows. You notice Mirabel shake her head and your back to being as confused as when you first woke up.
The old woman chuckles before spinning and turning into a young boy, wearing the same poncho as the boy you saw earlier, as well as having the same hair. He had a mischievous grin on his face. He spoke with the smirk remaining on his face.

'I'm Camilo. A pleasure to meet you.'

Mirabel rolled her eyes and said in an annoyed tone

'Don't annoy y/n, they're a guest and they'll be staying with us.'

His grin widened and you could tell he was planning something. He went to say something but before he could speak you heard someone call out his name. He swiftly turned around and left the room, you watched as he left, yup, same guy as before. You turned back to Mirabel.

'Who was that? is he another Madrigal?'

Mirabel nodded

'that was my cousin Camilo, he can shapeshift.'

The room went silent for a moment before you yawned and felt tired, despite only being awake for a couple hours.

'Maybe we should go to bed, you can come stay with me in the nursery'

You and Mirabel left Jullieta to finish clearing up and went back up to the nursery, she pointed you to the bathroom where you changed into pjamas. By the time you had come back Mirabel was already ready for bed and both of the beds had been made. Before you could sleep your mind drifted back to Camilo, what could he be up to?
