A\N: I know I posted this already but I deleted it to make some changes.

Esme Cullen lays on a blood red sofa with a book in her lap, half reading about Elizabeth and Mr Darcy while the other half of her keeps an ear out for her human daughter, Bella Swan, who is sleeping upstairs in Edward's room. Edward and the rest of her vampire children are on a weekend hunt to Canada and her husband, Carlisle, is working until late.

Esme sighs sadly when she hears footsteps padding upstairs. Putting her book aside, Esme stands up and waits for the sleepy teenager at the bottom of the stairs. Esme hears Bella's heart rate speed as she runs around upstairs. She's looking for someone. Esme thinks to herself. "Bella?" Esme calls softly. Bella's heart rate calms a little bit as she appears at the top of the stairs. "Es..Esme? Where are the others? Where are Edward, Alice, Rosalie, Jasper, Emmett and Carlisle?" Bella asks, panicking, rushing down the stairs. Esme listens in confusion.

She doesn't remember that everyone is hunting and at work? Esme questions. Esme gently takes Bella by the shoulders and looks at her gently. "Bella, Edward and the other kids are hunting in Canada for the weekend and Carlisle is at work until late. You're with me, everyone is safe, I promise." Esme watches as Bella's face morphs into confusion. "But Aro and Cauis said that everyone except me and you were in Volterra, that they had left us again and weren't coming back ever again." Esme's eyes widen.

Damn you, Aro! She screams in her head.

Esme embraces the teenager in front of her. "I assure you that they are hunting and at work, they're not in Volterra nor are they leaving again." Esme tries to comfort her daughter. Esme feels Bella pull away from her. "Come on, let's go to my room and talk." Esme says, gently tugging the girl up the stairs to the room Carlisle and her share.

Esme and Carlisle's room is amazing! Bella thinks to herself as she takes in the sight of the large, open and light. Their room is painted a very dark purple, black almost, the walls above their bed is covered with photos of the two older vampires along with several of their children. Emmett and Rosalie are lying on the white couch, Rosalie is on Emmett's chest, laughing about something. Alice and Jasper are walking in the door with shopping bags by the looks of his face. Then there is one of Edward and Bella dancing at their own prom in the Cullens backyard after their school prom ended. Alice called it 'Cullen prom.' Bella looks at Esme, who wears a smirk on her face, in astonishment. "Who.. who took this picture of me and Edward?" Bella asks, her eyes returning to the picture of her and her vampire. Esme chuckles. "Carlisle took the one on the camera while the rest of us took it on our cell phones, you two were so wrapped up in staring at each other that you didn't hear me, Alice and Rose squealing like banshees when he kissed you." Bella smiles warmly. Esme's bed is a purple heart wood frame. The pillows and quilt are different shades of purple. Bella yawns. "I don't want to go to sleep again." Bella whispers. "That's okay, sweetie, why don't you go freshen up in the bathroom and then we can talk, that sound good?" Esme suggests, pointing to the slightly open door near a desk. Bella nods. "Oh, Esme, could I get a quick shower? I feel gross." Esme nods. "Of course you can, sweetie, I'll lay out some pyjamas for you on the counter." Bella nods before heading into the bathroom which is gold. It has a shower with a frosted window and a jacuzzi bathtub. Bella strips and puts the puddle of sweat soaked clothes in the laundry hamper before stepping into the shower.

The scalding hot water washes over her like a friend of sorts. She shivers despite the scalding water. After several minutes of just standing under the water, Bella starts washing her hair with her strawberry shampoo and conditioner that is in every Cullen bathroom in the house. Damn you Alice and Rosalie. Bella thinks with a smile.
