Marriage

Malon POV:

“Mal? Did you get a text from Nico about a Christmas party?,” my girlfriend Evelin asks from our bedroom. “Yeah, I did. Do you want to go?” I ask as I walk into the kitchen. “Kind of. Its been a while since we’ve seen them, so I think it would be nice. She asks everyone to dress in something festive and to bring food or drinks.” I turn on the oven and put some chicken inside to cook.

“Do we need to bring anything else?” I walk back into the bedroom with two mugs of tea. “Um… She said that theyre doing a secret santa thing, but that not everyone has to participate if anyone doesn’t want to do so. Otherwise, no we don’t have to bring anything.” Evelin answers. I hand him a mug, and put mine on the table next to the bed. “I think we should go. It’ll be like when she made that fair party during that field trip.”
My phone beeps and a message shows up, “hey Malon! Your secret santa is Evelin! Can’t wait to see you guys!” I smile and hear Eves’ phone beep. I look over at her and see him smile as we meet each other’s eyes. “What do you want to watch tonight?” “You pick.”

A time skip to the day of the party because I’m lazy

“Eve? Are you ready to go?” I ask while waiting by the door of the hotel room. I’m wearing a red sweater with a green christmas tree on it, and a green thick-lined cloak. My long hair is in a braided bun, and I put on matching earrings. Evelin walks out of the bathroom wearing a red christmas themed dress and one of my cloaks as well. Her long orange hair is put into a ponytail with part of it braided. “You look great Mal!” “You do too Eve! I really like that dress on you.” We smile at each other and walk to our car.

“Are you excited?” Evelin asks, “I’m a little nervous, honestly. I haven’t celebrated christmas since I was a kid, so it’s a little scary and overwhelming.” “Well, if it gets too overwhelming and we need to leave or step out, it’s alright. Nico will understand.” He looks at me and smiles. “I know.”

We get to Nicos’ house and knock on the door. I let out a big breath to calm my nerves, and the door opens. “Evelin! Malon! It’s so good to see you! I’m so glad you made it!” Nico hugs us and lets us inside. “Woah! Your house looks awesome Nico!” “It really does, being the ultimate Actor must have its perks, huh.” We laugh and I put the food we brought in Nicos’ kitchen.

Evelin and I move into the living room and see Everett and Kioshi already there. Soon, everyone gets here and the party officially starts. “Let’s go ahead and eat and then we’ll do secret santa!” Nico exclaims, leading everyone into the kitchen.

After everyone finished eating, we all gathered back into living room. I turn to Evelin, “I’ll be right back, I want to give something to Nico before secret santa starts.” I make my way towards Nico and ask to talk to her. “Whats up Mal?” “Two things. First, I got you this because I wasn’t sure if you would get a secret santa because you’re the one who organized the party,” I give them a stuffed animal that I made to look like her. “Aww! Malon, I love it, thank you!” I smile, “Second, I want to make sure that you wouldn’t be mad if I proposed to Evelin?” “Really?? Of course not! I’m so happy for you!” We hug each other, and I walk back to Evelin.

“Alright, everyone! Hand out your gifts!” Nico exclaims while hugging the plush I gave her. I smile at Evelin as I lead her into a room that doesn’t have anyone in it. I give her a package wrapped in cheesy christmas themed wrapping paper. She smiles back at me, giving me a big box in return. “Open yours first Eve.” He unwraps it to find new papers for maps, new pens and pencils, one of my cloaks, and the plush she won me at the Nicos’ party during the field trip. “Aww, Malon! Thank you!!” She looks toward me and finds me on one knee with a ring in hand. “Eve, I’ve thought a lot about this moment, and when Nico invited us here, I knew this was the perfect place to do it. Evelin Colbert, will you marry me?” Evelin puts her gift down and smiles. She pulls something out of her pocket. “I was gonna ask the same thing. I knew we were gonna marry since the moment I met you.” I jump up and pull her into a hug. “Oh, I love you so much, Evelin!” “I love you too Malon! Now open up your present!!” I open the box she gave me earlier and pull out a new bow and set of arrows. There’s also the toy I won for her at the field trip party.

“We should go put this stuff in the car and then get to the party. They might be wondering where we are.” I say, and Evelin replies, “Absolutely, future Mrs. Colbert.” I kiss him on the cheek and help her carry our stuff to the car.

We come back in, rings on our fingers, and Nico runs up to us. “Congrats you two! I’m so happy for you guys!” She gives us a big hug and smiles. “I think everyone is getting ready to leave, but feel free to stay as long as you want!” “Actually, we might go ahead and leave now, but we don’t go back home until Monday, so we can grab lunch or something this weekend together!” “I like that! I’ll text you guys!!” We wave bye and head down to our car.

They live happily ever after and nothing ever harms these two ever again because i said so.
