DEKU - MIDORIYA IZUKU
For both you and Deku, it was a fairly mundane afternoon before the villain attacked the grocery store you worked at. For Deku, it was an uneventful patrol and for you, it was the least busy part of the day, and you were stuck on register duties.
You were drumming your fingers on the counter, waiting for the next customer to approach the register. And they moved sooooo slowly that it was almost painful.
But then, one pulled a gun from his belt and the afternoon wasn't as mundane as it just was.
The store had trained you on incidents like this. Open the register, hand it over, don't cause trouble, do what they want, and press the panic button under the counter when you have the chance.
Deku gets the alert that a grocery store has pressed its panic button. He checks the area and spots the store not far from where he was standing. With a quick "I've got this" to the alert organizer, he leaped into action.
Turns out the big and tough thieves are nothing more than frightened mice scurrying away when the Symbol of Peace throws the door open wide and proclaims "I am here!"
A smile spread across your face as relief flooded you. You had acted calmly the whole time, sure, but you had no reasons at all to worry now that Deku was here.
As Deku handed the villains over to the police, his eyes fell on you and his smile brightened a little more. He walked towards you, causing you to sweat nervously under the number one hero's attention.
Deku was quick to notice that you weren't responding like the other victims of the robbery. When he had rushed in, everyone looked terrified- eyes wide, bodies trembling, unable to tear their eyes from the villain.
You were just pulling the cash out of the register and handing it off to the villains with an expression that he would expect to see on a cashier dealing with a long line instead of a group of weapon-holding robbers.
So he approaches you, curious.
"Weren't you afraid?" he asks you.
"I knew someone would come. I knew a hero, just like you, would be here to save the day soon enough. I didn't know it'd be the number one hero though!"
