Aria was considering it.
Running for school captain, I mean. It seemed like such a huge role, she wasn't really ready for such a large responsibility to be put onto her. But then again, she would probably need such a thing on her application if she wanted even a chance to her dream university.
The thought lasted until the home bell had rung. Well, that took its precious time. Putting her books into her bag, Nova walks over to her table and gestures at Aria to hurry up.
She rolled her eyes, quickly packed herself up and followed Nova outside the classroom.
"God, that class makes me WANT to take the HSC. And you know that I hate tests with a passion." Aria groans loudly, her hands sliding down her face.
Nova chuckles, looking back down at her phone.
They stood next to each other, Aria's arm looped Nova's as they walked peacefully to the front gates. Nova's eye still stuck to her phone, she was either checking her notifications or attempting to avoid everyone else.
"Hey, wanna go to the cafe near here someday? They have good coffee and cakes!" Aria beamed, holding onto Nova's arm even tighter if that's even possible.
"Alright, alright. But you better be right."
"Of course I am, I'm always right."
"Uh, no not really. I remembered that yo-"
A hand slapped over Nova's mouth, the shorter girl's eyes warning her to not say another word. Nova raised her hands defensively, her face displaying a defensive expression.
Finally, the bus had arrived. Aria gladly skipped over, tapped her card and found a seat for the both of them.
They both sat down, Aria leaned her arm on the ledge of the bus window, placing her chin in her palm, watching as the cars and trees passed by without a care.
"You know, I'm thinking about going for school president. What do you think? Or at least, something for council." Nova's head slowly turned towards Aria, lifting her eyes from her phone.
"Well, that'd be fun, but would YOU be okay? I don't want to stop you but I just want to make sure you're not doing it for some weird reason." Nova fully turned herself to Aria, her expression was calm but concerned.
Aria faced Nova, giving the other a small smile and nodded. Nova approved Aria's reaction and slumped back into her seat.
"I'm just curious. But, you know how I am. It'll take me months to even prepare for the application and interview. But, it seems fun and it'll help with my school experience for year 12." Aria informed her friend, as she watched the sun starts to take its fall.
The bus starts to turn in and had stopped at Aria's street. She turned to Nova and waved goodbye as she tapped off the bus.

*Timeskip - Next year*
"ARE YOU BEING FUCKING SERIOUS?!" Aria stood in front of the bulletin board in disbelief. All of her hard work, long nights and practice in the mirror got her..in the ideas team.
Although she was in year 12 now, she now looked like a toddler throwing a tantrum as she stomped off to the cafeteria. She soon found her way to her table, loudly and aggressively, of course.
Mumbling curses to herself, she sat down next to her friend who was peacefully eating an apple until Nova was interrupted by this..she-demon.
"What now? My apple became bitter 'cause of you." Nova got up to throw out the fruit.
"Can you believe who got school captain? Also, congrats to you by the way. Vice-captain is a huge and great role, but that's not my issue at the moment! Luke! Luke fucking Chen! He doesn't even talk, I haven't seen him talk to anyone since like fucking, year 4! God, he also extremely like hard to work with."
"You're overusing the word 'like', you must be really upset." Nova sipped her can of coffee.
Aria scoffed as she angrily brushed her fingers through her hair, just the mere thought of this guy made her want to go bald.
The 'she-demon' slouched into her chair, her hair falling over her face. She attempted to blow the strand out of her face, but even her hair didn't believe in her, as said strand of hair landed back in place.
Aria just couldn't believe it. Mr. emotionless, no friends and oh-im-so-much-better-than-you got the role. It wasn't that he wasn't qualified, he had exceptionally good grades and was somewhat recognisable around the school, she just hated the fact that he didn't even try on his speech and still got it.
Maybe it was because of his face.
Aria was now considering plastic surgery.
The bell had stopped her train of thoughts, finally. She then waved Nova goodbye and made her way to her third period class of Term 3.
Fin.
