George awoke to his head of brown curls nestled in the crevice between Dreams jaw and shoulders.

His eyes slowly fluttered open, it was still dark but he knew the sun would start to rise soon as the birds stirred in their nests, chirping at the sight of dawn. He could hear the thump of Dreams heart and decided in the few moments he was still asleep he'd make the most of this comfort they had both fell into. It was a strange sensation, laying in the arms of a killer.

Subconsciously, Dream nestled his cheek against George's soft ringlets, a deep sigh making his hair dance. Suddenly he sprung to life ripping his body away from George's, rapidly waking up from a deep slumber, repulsed at their closeness. George tried not to show his embarrassment and instead rubbed his eyes as if Dream woken him up.

A sudden sharp pain struck at his upper arm, his wound pulsating with agony. It had started to rain and George's body felt like it was on fire, his wound opening, the bandage soaked with rain making his cut scream with an indescribable torcher.

"Shit, shit, shit." Dream rambled under his breath, scrambling to pick up his items. "acid rain."

George swore under his breath, struggling to move. Frustrated, Dream grasped George's wrist and yanked him up, already running across the terrain. It started to rain heavier now so Dream picked up his pace, shouting above the down pour. "We need to find shelter or else we'll die. Don't stop running and protect your wound, if it gets into it, it could be fatal." George didn't want to tell Dream that he was afraid it had already gotten into it so instead focused on the fact that Dream was communicating with him, actually letting him in on his plan instead of running and making George follow.

George clutched his damaged arm, frantically chasing after Dream, his footfalls silent under the constant hammering of the rain. "Don't let it get into your eyes!" Dream exclaimed and George screwed his eyes shut, almost slamming into a tree so had to open them again. He squinted through the water, his shoulders hunched, head staring at his feet to protect his face. He couldn't even see Dream at this point, his vision bluring at the edges.

He continued to run, his heart pounding in his head, they had to get out of this. He caught sight of Dream again and ran towards his direction, his figure a silhouette in the rain. He struggled to keep up, slipping behind as he clutched his arm, blood slipping through his fingers.

Suddently the Dream figure turned around and swung his sword at him. George barely had time to react, running to the side, barely missing the swipe. This was not Dream, he had accidentally followed the wrong person. He made to get his bow out when someone else rammed into him, knocking him onto the ground, wet mud splattering all over his face, his hair glued to his forhead. The sword came down on his left and he only just had enough time to roll to the right, struggling to get up onto his feet as the earth seemed to be a conveyer belt beneath him. His feet slipped against the mud, but he caught himself on a tree, turning around just in time to see his attackers body sliced through with a sword.

Dream pulled his weapon out of the guys stomach and ran to George, who was cowered against a tree, tugging him along by his t-shirt. Georges hands were rubbing at his eyes, shaking with fear, his eye sight slipping away. With out letting go of George's sleeve, Dream swiped his sword at another contestant, slicing their neck open with one motion, leaving him to die, one of the quickest deaths George had seen while being in this arena, so meaningless and fast. He would have felt sorry for him if him and his friend hadn't previously been trying to kill him. They continued to run, feet squelching against mud and leaves, searching for a way to survive.

Peering into the distance through the heavy rainfall, George thought he saw sun, golden rays shining through the canopy in a clearing, not too far ahead.
