"Kai's still not here. Where is he?" Suho asked in a irritated tone.
"He doesn't even care that his wife is here, seating alone." Chen added.
"C'mon guys, breath some air." Sehun calmed down.

Tao and Lay came on, running and panting.

"He's coming now." Lay said, catching his breath.
"Where is he?" Kris asked still.
"We don't know." Tao asked.
"Then how come you know that he's gonna be here?!" Chen furied in a low tone.
"Hyolyn told us." Tao and Lay both said in unison.

A FEW HOURS LATER...

"Lunch time!" Bora and Dasom cheered.
"Are you alright?" Dasom ruffled Ji Eun's hair.
"Yeah, it's just that.." She muttered.
"Just what?" Bora asked.
"Nothing." Ji Eun answered still.

Bora and Dasom looked at each other. They both sighed and gazed at Ji Eun.

"I hope you're okay." Dasom smiled.
"Anyway, did you see Hyolyn?" Bora, out of the blue, asked.
"Hyolyn?" Ji Eun asked.
"She's one of us, and Soyu." Dasom replied.
"Ohh, I hope I can meet her." Ji Eun smiled.
"Yes, I hope you could be friends too, but she's not here.." Bora frowned, looking at both left and right to check if there's any signs of their friend.

and right to check if their friend Hyolyn is around.
"Aw. Too bad." Ji Eun sighed.

10 minutes passed, and suddenly, Kai appeared. He walked right to the EXO table without even blinking or looking for Ji Eun. And as he pass, Ji Eun was just staring at him. She was looking for any signs, that Kai must've gotten into a fight or what, but there were no signs of it. The lower circles of his eyes turned a little bit black.

"Uhh.. That's odd." Dasom whispered. "Are you two in a fight?"
"No, we're not." Ji Eun replied.
"Then why is he acting like that?" Bora asked.
"Nah, he's just tired. That's all." Ji Eun replied and placed her chin at the palm of her hands.

All of a sudden, Kai stood up and went directly to the girl's table where Bora, Dasom, and Ji Eun was seated. Ji Eun was too busy staring blankly at her lunch to the point that she didn't felt Kai near her.

"Uhh.. Do you mind if I... borrow her for a second?" Kai smiled at Dasom and Bora.
"Okay! No, hahahahha!" Bora laughed.

But then again, Ji Eun's mind was flying everywhere. She looked like she wasn't herself. She looked like there was something bugging her. She snapped out of her mind after Dasom shook her shoulder and telling her that Kai is there.

"Kai's here." Dasom smiled.
"Whaa-" Ji Eun got cut off when she turned and saw Kai beside her.
"Hi." Kai smiled.
"Uhh... hi?" Ji Eun felt awkward.
"Come with me." Kai said and held Ji Eun's wrist.

He pulled her with him to the rooftop of their school.

"Where were you last night?" Ji Eun softly spoke.
"It's none of your business." Kai answered in a heavy tone.
"But I was sick worrying for.." Ji Eun got cut off.
"Yeah, and how dare you invite the boys last night to our house, huh?" Kai intensified and slammed Ji Eun to the wall. "Just because I wasn't there?"
"What are you talking about? I didn't invite anybody last night." Ji Eun defended.
"What the fuck, you're lying." Kai sniffed. "Then what about the sweet note, huh?"
"What note?" Ji Eun asked, clearly confused.
"The note that clearly was Baekhyun's handwriting!" Kai fired up.
"I didn't see it." Ji Eun muttered.
"Fuck this," Kai grabbed Ji Eun and pinched her cheeks like a criminal would do. "Don't pretend, I know. You're cheating on me."
"Kai, it hurts, I.." Ji Eun got cut off trying to move away Kai's hand from her face.
"Just make sure you don't get caught, okay pretty girl?" Kai released his grip from Ji Eun violently.

Kai walked away and left Ji Eun with tears. It wasn't his grip that hurted, it was in the way he was. How one night, that night when he didn't come home, changed him. And that left Ji Eun wondering what else happened. Even in the continuation of their class, she still thinks about it even though Kai is just sitting across the room. She couldn't turn and look at Kai for it hurts too much for her side.

Hours passed and the school bell rang for dismissal. Ji Eun walked her way alone to the carpark, meeting their driver.

"Where's Kai?" Ji Eun asked.
"Ms. Ji Eun, he told me to tell you that you shouldn't worry about him for he is out with his boys, EXO." The driver answered.
"Ohh, okay." Ji Eun said.
"Shall we?" The driver opened the car door for Ji Eun.
"Ne. (Yes.)" Ji Eun answered and entered the automobile.

Even in going home, she was still bothered about Kai. She didn't felt her tears streaming down her face. After a couple of minutes, they arrived home.

"We're here, Ms. Ji Eun." The driver proceeded and opened the door.

Ji Eun walked out stiffly and lifeless.

"Is everything okay, Ms. Kim?" The driver asked.

Ji Eun was stiff, and staring blankly.

"Ms. Kim?" The driver repeated.
"Huh?" Ji Eun muttered, snapping out.
"Is everything okay?" He asked.
"Uhh, yes." Ji Eun smiled. "Thank you."
"Thank you, Ms. Kim." The driver bowed and drove away.

Ji Eun went inside. She dropped her bag and lied down at the sofa. She didn't change her clothes first, she was busy thinking about Kai. What happened, and things. She was so confused she didn't know who that Kai was. Half an hour of thinking have passed when the doorbell rang abruptly. Ji Eun went straight for the door excitedly hoping to see Kai coming home and be with her. But when she opened the door, it was Sehun, Chen, Luhan, Lay, Suho, Kris, and Xiumin.

"Hi Ji Eun-ah!" The others greeted happily while Suho and Kris just smiled.
"Hey guys.." Ji Eun smiled back. "Come in."
"Ji Eun-ah, do you want me to cook for you?" Xiumin asked.
"Yah Xiumin, let her rest first. Let her dance to music." Lay insisted.
"Are you crazy? You're gonna make her rest, and dance?" Sehun came between.
"Let her appreciate my beautiful face!" Luhan smiled cheerfully.
"Aish, you Hello Kit.." Chen looked like he was about to join the argument but suddenly, Kris stopped them.
"Yah, don't bother her. Go cook us dinner in the kitchen, we have to talk to her." Kris said in his deep big voice.

The others went on with what they were tasked to do like scolded puppies. Kris looked at Ji Eun. The three of them all went upstairs to the open rooftop to discuss something.

"Ji Eun, we're here to talk to you about something." Suho said.
"About what, oppa?" Ji Eun softly asked.
"Uhh.. It's about Kai." Suho whispered.
"What about him?" She asked.
"Is he uh.. You know.." Suho couldn't find his words.
"Is there anything suspicious about Kai nowadays?" Kris straightly asked.

Ji Eun's eyes got a little bit teary.

"He didn't come home.. Last night." Ji Eun muttered softly.
"What about today?" Kris asked.
"We saw him held on your wrist as you went out of the cafeteria." Suho added.
"Uhh.. He just talked to me." Ji Eun muttered.
"He didn't hurt you or anything?" Kris asked.

Ji Eun thought about her next answer. She didn't want Kai to look bad in front of his friends so she covered up for Kai.

"No, he didn't. He just told me how he missed me and apologized for not being able to go home last night." Ji Eun smiled.

Suho and Kris looked at each other.

"Very well." Kris smiled.
"Just so you know, we're here for you, okay? Don't worry, we're here Ji Eun." Suho smiled.
"Why oppa? What's the matter?" Ji Eun asked.
"Nothing, it's just that it seems like you two are in a fight." Suho defended, not showing that he knows something about the situation.
"Ohh.. I thought.." Ji Eun smiled. "So, what are you planning to do for next year, oppa?" She asked.
"I don't know... Maybe wherever my career takes me." Suho answered.

They talked and talked and enjoyed the cold breeze of the air. All of a sudden, Sehun called the three of them for dinner.

"Hey guys, dinner's ready!" Sehun called as he untied his cooking apron.
"Hey, Sehun's calling, we gotta go downstairs." Suho called Kris and Ji Eun.
