The clinking of fast bullets hitting the ground was the only sound that echoed through the room.
Sia's finger slowly lifted off the trigger. Inhaling deep Sia stared at the blood trail that began seep into the hard wood floors .There he laid, she walked to his body , kneeled down and lifted his head to face her , she could feel his soul slowly seeping out of his body.
Forming tears in her eyes were on the verge of falling down her blood stained face. Their eye contact stayed in lock. As his body slowly became limp she dropped his head which made a wet 'THUD" against the cold bloody floor. She tried to forgive but she couldn't.
She stood up and backed away from his body. Sia took one more look at him and walked out the door. Getting into her black 2020 bmw she turned on the engine and pulled off, stopping at the light she gripped the stirring wheel. Peering in her rear view mirror and catching a glimpse of the splattered blood on her face and her vision became blurry uncontrollable sobs roared from her lips as her hands let go cupping her face. She reached to run her hands in her hair grabbing hand-fulls.
The painful memories flashed like a rapid slideshow as she cried harder. She couldn't believe she did it. To see it happen she had to. She was tired of people not taking the consequences of their actions. She felt everything that was hers became his. How did she let someone like that become her everything to her and not herself. Her expression changed into a evil grimace.
She warned him. She warned them all but unfortunately he was the last straw. Wiping the black stained mascara blood from her eyes and face as she pressed hard on the gas when the light flashed green. Swerving dangerously down the street into the highway.
Sia drove with the speed picking up every minute. Passing toll booths she headed for the north and never looked back.
