I don't pay much attention to the reels anymore because they'll scare me. I don't want to remember. I want to forget this. All of it. I look back on the screen to see River getting devoured by mutts. I scream and close my ears. I need to leave. I look around and find a way to escape. I look out to the audience and see a door with a sign above it saying exit. I get up and dart for that door. I hear people screaming my name. Both my parents are running after me. I push the door open. I can't stop I can't go back in there.
I spot a ladder on a building. I'm trying to run to it, but I can't move. Peacekeepers got me. Wait no, it's mom. She hugs me.
"I can't go back." I say shaking in her arms.
"Just close your eyes. It's almost over. Once we're done with this we can go home." I take her hand as we head back toward the building. We sit back down. I do as she said. I close my eyes and tune the video out the rest of the time. The last part of the interview stands in front of me. It's Henry with a crown in his hands. He's doing his weird smirk at me. He takes the crown off the pillow and places it on my head. We have to take a picture together. I don't smile, I refuse to. Finally I'm allowed to go off the stage.
Once I think I'm where the crowd can't see me I throw the crown on the floor causing it to shatter all over the floor. Everyone gasps. I turn around. Apparently I was wrong. Everyone saw it. I wasn't far enough behind the curtain.
