Dev Kapoor popular called D.K also called as 'Devil Kapoor' due to his rude and arrogant nature was always a tough nut to crack. Some called it his arrogance because he belonged to the Kapoor's and was filthy rich by birth where as some other termed it his head weight and overly pampered by his parents as the Kapoor couple Gayathri and Hrishikesh Kapoor had him after 12 years of their marriage.
Dev always got what he wanted. He was been showered with love and care from his parents and immensely pampered by his grandmother Saudamini Kapoor.
Dev was although a silent and reserved child by nature however was still grounded and kind unlike the rude and arrogant D.K now!!!
So what changed?
A heartbreak!!!
Vidisha Khurana his college sweetheart broke his heart by sleeping with his own best friend on his bed on their send-off night turning 6 years of relationship into a joke. When Dev confronted her all she said was 'He was not enticing enough!!!'
And since then Dev treated women nothing less than a comodity!!! Sex was all he preferred without attachments turning him and being the 5ft 9 inches hot beardo that he was girls would take anything to have him even if it meant just for one night! Such was his charm!
However when his parents and grandmother wanted him to marry he kept denying such that even his younger brother Dhruv got married to Ahaana Sharma. Ahaana was Harish Sharma and Sonal Sharma's elder daughter. Harish Sharma was a small scale businessman however as his mother Veena Sharma and Soudamni Kapoor were childhood friends, Harish and Hrishikesh were childhood friends too and the friendship had passed on to the third generation too where Ahaana Dev and Dhruv were also childhood besties.
Dev being 2 years elder to Dhruv and Ahaana was always a protective brother and their secret keeper as Dhruv and Ahaana dated since their 10th std and finally after trying to convince hundred times they had got Dhruv and Ahaana married. However Dev being 30 and still single worried the Kapoor's.
And the final call was taken when Hrishikesh ended up getting hospitalized due to a cardiac arrest and wished to see his elder son married and also take over from him as the CEO of Kapoor Group of Industries.
Helplessly Dev nodded his head seeing his father's ill health and he was forcibly engaged to Ishaani Sharma, the younger daughter of Sharma's.
For Dev this engagement was never a thing but for Ishaani it was a dream to marry her childhood crush!
She was 13 when she first time felt a strange sensation in her stomach, no it wasn't just periods!!! It was a crush! She had on a 20 year old boy who was her sister's senior and friend Dev.
He however never really noticed her but since then he was the one who made her heart flutter however Dev would hardly give her a smile but when she was asked to get engaged to him she didn't think twice! And agreed to it!!!

But now that it's his parents 45th wedding anniversary along with Dhruv-Ahaana's new company launch which was a cruise trip to Canada Sharma's were also invited.
He feared that he would meet her!!!
But he relaxed when he heard she wasn't on but when he got to know she would board the cruise while traveling back from Canada it left him with cold feet!!!
3 years is a long gap!!!
Dev and Ishaani would meet again...
