Entertaining Elevator

"Oh my god," squeaked the tall guy, who kept on running from one side to the other in the elevator. He continued frantically, "Now we are stuck here and then we will all use up the oxygen and then we will die and then we will rot in here and stink," - he started screaming - "and oh my god I need to get out now." At the end of his mini exasperated rant he stopped in front of a girl who's even taller than him, and then he started shaking her.

Eventually, she shoved him away and rolled her slanted eyes at him. "Talon," she breathed out. "Would you stop?" she requested with vexation.

"I don't want to die. Don't you get that?" Talon exclaimed, with his hands on his cheeks and his eyes wide open. "Oh, please don't act so childish," she said as she flipped her long, black hair and rolled her eyes once more.

"Cassandra, seriously, don't you comprehend it. If I pass away then people will miss me. I entirely get it; I am a phenomenally marvellous human being on this blue globe. Who can exceed me, right?" he stated, whilst he brashly gestured to his face and body.

"Phenomenally marvellous, huh," she repeated leisurely, worrying her bottom lip, before she slid down the back of the elevator with her arms crossed over her chest, staring at Talon with an indescribable look. "You are kidding, right Talon," she retorted mockingly, shaking her head as if she didn't even have one clue about what to do with this blond haired, blue eyed (yes, cliché much), dramatic guy.

"I know you would miss me too," Talon quipped confidently, which made her snort unquestionably in an unlady like manner. He poked Cassandra with his elbow after he sat next to her on the elevator floor.

I felt a harsh smack on my shoulderand pressed on the button so the sound coming from the screen, through which I was watching (I am not creepy) Talon and Cassandra in the elevator, would go off. Turning around I noticed Jackson glaring venomously at me. Let's hope that I'm not going to be murdered with that glare, because it looked deadly. I plastered a smirk on my pale face as I just nodded cheekily as a form of greeting to Jackson.

"Do you want us to get fired?" he mumbled each word slowly, harshly and softly, it was audible enough for me to hear though. It looked like he was trying to stay calm and collected. Obviously, it wasn't working for him.

"Does it seem like I want to get fired," I replied not even slightly worried, which made Jackson squeeze my shoulder painfully.  "They'll only fire me if they know about this, which they won't, because only you and I know. And of course you wouldn't tell them, unless you want me to accidently blurt out your little secret that you thought was very well hidden," I ended threateningly, causing the blood to drain from his face. He looked awfully pale, which only for a moment, frightened me.

"There are two innocent teenagers stuck in the elevator, because you stopped the damn thing. Are you insane? You are creating a mess here," Jackson spoke up, his voice went immensely high. I shrugged and forcefully pushed his hand away.

"Would you chill? These two haven't even thought about calling us. There is no mess so there is no need to stress." I turned back towards the screen and saw Cassandra with a ghost of a smile on her face instead of the annoyed look she was wearing before as she listened to Talon.

Jackson was still standing behind me, not giving any signs of leaving. I sighed. "I just need to press on this one tiny little button," - I pointed out at the said button -"and then the elevator will move again. Problem solved. All I needed was a little bit of entertainment, for nothing ever happens being stuck in this room looking at boring people in boring elevators going to boring floors, being boring," I said dramatically with a hint of irritation.

After a while, I gave into Jackson's deadly glare and pressed on the button, which caused the elevator to move, and then turned on the volume.

"Finally, it was about time," Cassandra muttered relieved and stood up. Talon followed suit.

"Thank god," he drawled, "the world won't be me-deprived."

"Seriously, Talon, can you give me one good reason why I still talk to you?" Cassandra questioned solemnly.

Talon smiled wholeheartedly and reached out for her hand. As he intertwined their fingers, the elevator's door opened, and he finally replied, "Because you love me."

Cassandra shook her head with a huge smile on her face, as they walked out of the elevator.

Well, there goes my entertainment, I thought.
