Amethyst woke up in a daze, a confused look on her face as she saw the sun high in the sky, panicking and opening her pip-boy to check the time. She froze as she read that it was 10:45, beginning to check the shed for the young girl, her concern increasing when she saw no sign of her.

She burst through the door only to almost trip on a small fire Kat had started to cook a can of Pork n' Beans, the surprise of the sudden appearance gone as soon as Amethyst noticed it. "Good morning sleeping beauty! Ready to get moving?" She snickered as she looked at Amethyst, digging quickly into the can of addictive beans.

Amethyst sat down beside her and pulled out some of the roach meat from the vault, looking at it in trepidation before she tried to cook it on a skewer, turning it slowly and adding a small amount of wood to bring the heat of the fire up, the Focus telling her that the roach only had a few minutes left to cook.

Amethyst devoured the piece of radroach meat, trying not to think of the taste as her stomach stopped grumbling, pulling out another piece and waiting, offering some to Kat as she finished the can of beans. Kat accepted happily, tearing into the steaming piece of meat like an animal. After Kat and Amethyst each had their fill, they saw Gus staring at something on the ground, a bright red glowing flower.

They watched incredulously as the giant metal machine carefully extended its left arm,  the armor opening up at the wrist to let a Protectron Hand Claw grasp the soil at the base of the flower, uprooting a small rootball with longer roots draping from around it's metallic claw, before the large Sentry Bot straightened up, bringing the glowing, radiant rose closer to the armored visor on its head. It stared at the rare bloom for a minute before turning around and offering it to Kat, Gus gently setting the rose into her outstretched hand, before going upright again, beginning to circle the area around the campfire, it's vigilant red sensor scanning for any signs of life beyond it's young companions.

As Amethyst opened her pip-boy again, she decided to open up the map, seeing a marker to the east of them, the mysterious signal had cut out, but not before the pip-boy found the origin, despite the loss of signal relay towers. Amethyst looked at the small legend in the upper righthand of the map, seeing that a small nob seemed to correspond with each feature of the legend.

Slowly turning it through the options she realized it had highlighted 'approximate locations' of the relay towers, as well as other radio broadcasts in the area. Seeing 2 larger blips to the south, and several smaller ones even farther south or North. As she tried to continue looking through her pip-boy she was shocked as a second cursor showed up next to hers, as well as a large amount near the bigger broadcast to the south of them. Kat gasped as she saw the same show up on her map.

"Okay, maybe after we help 'Rusty', we can help the radio stations in the area... although I get the feeling that one to the southwest of us towards the crater is gonna be hard."

Kat nodded, grimacing slightly, before responding quietly.
"That is going to be the most difficult, we're gonna need to stock up on rad-away when we plan on going there...heard some freaky stories about the place, never actually been there myself though."

Amethyst nodded, moving next to the young girl and bringing her map towards Kat's. She grins as she sees a brief arc of electricity between the two devices, before Kat's map updates to match Amethyst's, a new group of settings over-taking one of the knobs already there. Kat scrolls through the new settings, grinning and hugging the older girl, before turning and studying the Focus on Amethyst's temple, briefly reaching out before Amethyst quickly turned to her, a confused look on her face.

"S-sorry, just...curious what those on it buttons did" Kat looked down embarrassed. Amethyst shrugged before giving Kat a small noogie, messing up her hair before standing back up, gesturing for the annoyed younger girl to follow as she clambered up to Gus's shoulder, tapping his armor with an almost bell like noise. Kat cautiously climbed Gus's rear leg, before sitting on his other shoulder, pulling out the Rose from earlier and studying it quietly with a look of curiosity as she glanced between the flower and the robot.
