(Hiya fellow readers! First off, I really hope you enjoy this, it's my first story I'm writing up and publishing lmao, and I apologise if I don't get chapters fully finished or done quite quick, because I'm literally revising 24/7 bc of school but yeah. If ya have any suggestions or questions, go ahead and comment - I have a couple of ideas in mind ;) ENJOY)

My eyes shift open as I hear beeping... my alarm clock. Damn that gets on my nerves. I turn myself to the side and my eyes look at the time thats placed on the clock. 6.00am it displayed, wow right on time! Thats a first. Lifting myself out of bed, my first thought was to not waste a minute while getting ready. After all, I needed this job.
Things have been hard recently. I ended up breaking up with my ex around two weeks ago and managed to kick him out of my house the same day. Lets just say, he was quite the hand full. Sometimes he was nice, caring and helpful when he wanted to be. But most of the times, he didn't show love. Looking back now, I don't really think that any 'love' he showed me was real, but fake. And soon enough, most of the time became all of the time. I was blind before Then. There was bickering turning into little arguments, turning into bigger situations, bigger volume, bigger actions. As described, I think you'd be happy to know I couldn't take it - I'd had enough. So, I brought up the topic of splitting up, and with every word that spilled out of my mouth came regret, clogging up my throat. The anger that stuck on his face and the words he said replay in my head which choose when to visit my mind and leave. Anyway, let's not get too poetic y/n it's been two weeks, your staying strong, we don't need to focus on him so let's focus on the future.
You get dressed in the uniform Vanessa gave you yesterday from the tour, she's a night guard there. There were other guards there as well but they weren't as talkative. After Vanessa showed you around, she eventually took you to the daycare - but she wouldn't let you inside.
Strange. Why? You thought. I'm supposed to be working with the animatronic that's based in there, I don't see why I couldn't have seen them . If I wasn't already anxious enough, that thought only made things worse... I mean, I already had a lot on my plate. Maybe they were under-going maintenance? You tried to ignore that and just reminded yourself that you'll be seeing them soon enough. After you managed to put the uniform on, you darted down the stairs and made yourself some breakfast. The thing is, they told you that you would be doing nightshifts after today - kind of like a night guard - so you get to have your own personal dorm, which you thought was pretty neat. I was a night owl anyways, but it would still come in handy. You packed your bag with stuff to keep in your dorm for tomorrow. Unknowing what to do with your hair, you tie it up into a messy bun as your walking out the door. You grab your keys and get into your Black Nissan juke car, putting in the name ' Freddie's' Pizzaplex ' in the sat nav. As you were on your way, you thought you might get hungry, so you drive to the shop first to get a sandwich and a drink and later arrive at your new work place.
As you open the door, a darkened corridor stands in front of you with only the light of the setting sun the room that it led to was silent. Sudden bright neon lights, booming music and children's laughter emits from a door. You felt so bad for the power and electricity bills... Vanessa stood at the daycare counter and takes you around to the entrance. "So y/n, you good with kids?" Vanessa asked. Well that was a weird question, but understandable. I replied "Er, I'd like to say I am!"
I used to babysit my nephew all the time when my brother and his girlfriend lived a couple houses down my road from me. (Just imagine fun memories that you'd have with your nephew). However a couple of months ago, they decided to move a far bit away but thankfully not abroad; I've not heard much about where they live exactly. So from having a nephew and babysitting basically all the time, I would say that I have a decent amount of experience. I have never considered how far away my family live from me. I guess were all kind of split up. I Don't even dare tell them about the situation with my ex - that could go horribly. What are you doing y/n? Stop thinking about him! You're Working on the job!
While Vanessa takes you to the entrance to the daycare, you keep a conversation going and get to know each other better. You stroll around the wooden walls of the day care, turn a couple corners and walk up some stairs. Strange.
"Hey" You interrupt. "Why are we going upstairs? Don't tell me these kids I hear get an extra floor of playtime and fun? I'd be jealous if they do!" "you'll see" she replied, walking infront of you intentionally to get to the top of the stairs.
What was she planning?
"TA DAH!" Vanessa shouted
A slide? A slide with the words plastered on a frame above "SLIDE INTO FUN!" Huh, a bit cheesy but it was a daycare after all. You glanced around, doubting there was no other way to go into the daycare other than going down a slide. No other entrances but to be an embarrassed adult sliding down a kid's slide. "Nice surprise, huh? I think its creative!" Vanessa proudly stated and could definitely tell the embarrassment you tried to hide... "Yeah, its pretty cool but is there no other way to.." "Nope!" She interrupted and signalled you to go down the slide. You shrugged, sighed and slipped into the tube and fell into a ball pit!
"Oof! W-wait, ball pit?" To be fair, this place is funner than I had imagined - Your thoughts were cut off by a loud voice! HOO HO HOOOO! It boomed. Startled, you looked around to see nothing and decide to find out who said that. "Have fun on your first day!" Vanessa belted from outside the walls of the daycare which surprisingly didn't scare you; you were already stunned by the amount of colours infront of you. Putting one foot in front of the other, you make your way through the ball pit before a pair of cold hands held your waist. HELLOOO! NEW FRIEND! YOU'RE EARLY!! You gave out a tiny gasp from the surprise and began to laugh. WHERE ARE YOUR FRIENDS?!
