"You can never cross the ocean unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shores."
I scrunch up my toes as the freezing waves hit my feet. The water reflects the crescent colored sky. The sun slowly fades over the blue glimmering water. The sea-gulls-screams fill my ears taking all my thoughts away. The smell of salt Water is thick And is sure to leave a lingering smell to my hair.
My IPhone buzzes on my colorful beach towel. I unlock my phone and press the Instagram icon and tapping on my feed. I stare at my device in disbelief, the unshared picture of Tyler and I kissing already has 162 likes on Instagram. Tatiana. I feel anger pump threw my veins and my head starts to throb.
I was a new transfer to the school, and had no friends, she was popular and easily took me into her crowd. And as you can guess, I was the puppy on the leash that followed her everywhere. One night we went to a party and her boyfriend was drunk and he came onto me, even though it's his fault she insists to blame it on me. Ever since, I've been the talk of the school, no thanks to her. She's the practically the queen bee of the school and gets whatever she wants. My thoughts are interrupted by a deep raspy voice.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing here alone?"
Corny, but I give him points for effort.
I shift my body to look at the mysterious banal guy, this first thing I eye is his chest. Evenly toned, and tanned almost to perfection. My eyes slowly cruise up his body to
meet his eyes, they were like the ocean, irised and resembling every shade of blue. His dark, golden wet hair dripping of sea water. My eyes widen in shock when I notice I've been checking him out. I could feel the burning sensation grow in my cheeks. I'm instantly relieved when I see him looking over my body, biting his lip softly. He takes his eyes off of my body and plops himself down on my towel.
"What's your name?" He asks, twiddling with the hem of my towel.
"I'm not telling you, I don't even know you," I say stubbornly.
"Can I take a guess?" I nod my head, turning my body, giving him my full attention.
"Is your name Ariel? Because I think we mermaid for each other." I open my mouth to answer, but Im quickly interrupted.
"Is your name Google? Cause you have everything I'm searching for."
"Is your name Molly? Cause your making me overdose."
"Is your name Grace cause your amazing"
"Is your name Katniss? Because you're starting an uprise in my district."
"That's quite enough," I chime out instantaneously.
He gasps and look at me with wide eyes and a mysterious smirk. I start to giggle at all the naughtiness In his eyes, "What?"
"I almost forgot, The word of the day is legs. Let's go back to my place and spread the word."
I stare at him with the straightest face I can possibly make.
This boy is seriously stupid.
🍭💧🍭💧🍭💧🍭💧🍭💧
"They slither when have you ever seen a snake crawl?" I look at him with complete confusion.
"I actually have, It's just like sper-"
I stop him quickly with my hand not wanting to get into that subject, He snickers, flashing me a big bright smile with his pearly teeth. His smile is like a disease spreading contagiously, and I can't help but grin back.
"Katie!" I hear my little brother Jacob, scream from our beach house. We both turn our heads to look at my 6 year old brother, his hair is a nice dirty blonde color and Is a mess all over his head.
"Mommy said come inside eatmeatily" he howled from the house, struggling on the word "Immediately". He turns around and sprints into the house.
"He's cute, but not as cute as me." Blake states, making me avert my attention to him. I've leaned one thing in the past hour about Blake, and thats he's extremely cocky.
I roll my eyes at his arrogant comment, and neatly fold my towel.
"I'll see you around I guess," I say fiddling with my fingers, trying not to be awkward.
"I'll see you tomorrow," he says, confidence leaking throughout his voice.
I grin at his boldness,"How are you so sure?"
"Because nobody can stay away from this," he trails a finger down his body seductively in a girly way.
I chuckle lightly,"Bye Blake."
"Wait, I'm bout to go home and masturbate and I need a name to go with the face."
I stare at him wide eyes for a moment. Is he serious right now?
"Kate, my name is Kate."

I step out of the warm shower as water trails rivers down my lengthy legs. I wrap my soft towel around my body and step out my bathroom.
"Hurry Katie! The Chuggington's are on!" Jacob whines in a annoying high-pitched voice.
I sigh, grabbing my pajamas and undergarments and slipping them on quickly. I sit on my bed next to Jacob, and he slides onto my lap, his eyes practically cemented to the TV. He has a wide cheeky grin on his face as he watches the trains talk their brains off.
My phone buzzes on my nightstand lighting up the rest of the room that the TV doesn't.
Psycho pedophile (Blake): snakes crawl not slither.
A smile automatically forms on my lips, I had totally forgot we had exchanged numbers at the beach. I click my tongue deciding whether or not I should respond or not. I roll my lips into my mouth, trying to make the grin escape from my lips. I feel a blush sear threw my cheeks, gosh, come on Kate get it together. Your blushing just thinking about this guy and you barely know him.
I look down at Jacob to make sure he didn't notice my little embarrassing break down. I exhale in relief when I see him sound asleep. I lay his fragile body down and slide down next to him. I run my hands threw his hair and rest my head on my plump pillow. I throw my phone on the nightstand deciding not to answer and pull my thick comforter over our bodies.
"I love you," I whisper quietly, giving my brother a kiss on his cheek.
My thoughts easily take over and I can't seem to get my mind off the one and only Blake Lynch.
