I couldn't believe it. Across from him sat a beautiful black headed woman. Who apparently couldn't keep her hands off him.

So this is what he was doing while I was away?

I quickly snapped a picture so I had evidence. I wanted to leave, but my eyes wouldn't move from the scene in front of me.

She smiled at him, and he smiled back at her. She touched him arm and he let her. Hadn't even made a move to correct her.

I took a seat in a coffee shop across the restaurant. I had a window seat, so I could see everything.

They had lunch, they talked, smiled, laughed, and she did touch him a lot during lunch.

Why was he allowing her to be so pushy?

I looked at my phone and saw that it was four o'clock already. Fuck when did the time pass so quickly?

I had to be back at six to see Arabella.

When I turned my head back to the restaurant, I could see the table empty. They were already by the door. I quickly got up and made my way out of the coffee shop.

Xavier led her to his car, and she sat inside. He took a seat next to her. I jumped into a nearby cab and told the driver to follow Xavier's car.

I couldn't stop the thoughts in my mind.

Was he cheating on me?

Or was something else here?

Ugh. I wanted a nice return, not this. My head started to hurt.

The cab stopped in front of a building. The woman stepped out of the car and made her way into the building. I couldn't read out the inscription on the door. Dammit.

The cab driver started driving again.

This time, Xavier stopped at a jewelry store.

My god. Was he buying her jewelry?

He made his way into the store and I wanted in the cab in the meantime. He returned to the car exactly 10 minutes later with a box in his hand.

Hmm, a quick shopping trip it seems.

The last stop was the mansion. I told the cab driver to take me back to the city.

I made a stop at a sushi place and bought some for me and Arabella.

By the time I got back, Arabella was already home.

"Hey, I bought some sushi." I told her.

"Hi, OMG, thanks. You knew just what I was craving." I laughed with her and set the dining table.

"So, how was work?"

"Great, I got everything ready for you. Boss says you designed some good houses while you were in New York. I'm just glad that you are back. Isa, Mara and the girls are also happy. We should go out sometime again."

"That would be lovely. I had missed them as well."

"Can you pass me the soy sauce?" I handed her the sauce and we began eating.

"So, what of Xavier?"

I stilled. I still didn't know where we stand. And after today, I wasn't sure what was even happening.

"I'm going to surprise him tomorrow. That's why I stayed here today. I'm sure he will be happy to see me back."

She smiled at me and nodded.

"Great, just do tell me if something's not right. I'm here for you, you know that, right?"

"I do. Thank you. We just needed some time. I'm sure everything's going to be fine now that I'm back."
