Kurapika and Gon witness the building explode. The green haired boy sinks down to floor. Kurapika follows him laying a hand on his friend's shoulder.

Gon's lips form a sad smile, tears streaming down his cheeks in Kurapika's arms. Never in his life did he thing he would lose his best friends. It was heartbreaking.

Poor Gon already lost so many people, losing 3 of his friends was terrifying for him.

And yet it happened.
right
in front
of him.
He felt weak, helpless.

You could also say the same with Kurapika. Like Gon, he already lost too many people.

This day Kurapika lost his biggest supporter in life:Leorio. As well as his two friends who he had already seen as his own kids Killua and Y/n.
Oh how much he cared about them. He never wanted to lose them.

Gon lost his childhood best friend, Killua. The person he saw as his little sibling, Y/n and the man who was the father for him he never had, Leorio.

It was all so heartbreaking, never in their life were they going to be happy again.

"let's go home, gon"

Kurapika helps Gon up and takes him back to his car.
The night already felt so lonely, the rain pouring down onto both of them and ashes flying in the air forming a dark cloud.

Gon stumbles forward through the dark forest without any motivation to keep going.
Kurapika looks at Gon.

Gon was completely different, he used to be so happy and excited about the smallest thing. He was so enthusiastic about everything it was almost annoying but that made him so special after all.

Suddenly Kurapika hears the muffled voices of two people who were..arguing?
But who in the world would stay out this late and on top of that in such a dangerous place?

Kurapika looked down to Gon who was slightly shorter than him and made sure if Gon heard these voices too.

And he did.

But it was so unrealistic, it could be another one of these stupid illusions.
But Meiko is dead, isn't she?

Gon walked closer to the voices and hid behind the tree to observe the two people sitting on the ground surrounded by flowers.

Kurapika who first watched Gon walk, now joined him but stopped as soon as he saw the two people.

"you won't eat that, right?", the first person says and tries to snatch something from the other person's hand.

"why shouldn't I eat that?", the second person says while defending whatever they are holding in their hand.

"because it looks like poop", the first person answers with a sly smile.
