Rhys opens the fridge and throws me a can of beer. I catch it before it falls onto the marble countertop. "Shit, my bad," he says. I shake my head, opening the can and taking a long swig of the beer. "Hey, guys!" I turn around at Nova's voice. I turn back around, avoiding her only because her friend is right there with her.
I knew she was coming tonight but honestly I'm not in the mood to argue or bother her surprisingly. I'll keep quiet tonight if she does. I'm just trying to have one good night since I haven't in a while. Chris walks over to the kitchen and picks out some liquor from one of the cabinets. He gets six shot glasses as well and some cups. He looks at me before walking back over to the living room and mouths be nice. He doesn't see me when I roll my eyes.
I get up from the barstool and walk over to sit on the couch next to Rhys and Cgc. I smile at Nova and she returns it. Rhys clinks our cans of beer together. He takes a long drink from his, but I don't touch mine. I do want to get drunk tonight but at the same time, I don't. I have a feeling someone might need to stay sober so maybe it'll be me. We'll see.
Cgc leans over and picks up the bottle of tequila, pouring the liquid into each shot glass. "We're about to play a little game," he smirks. I roll my eyes and this time take a large sip from my beer. "Which one?" Nova grins. She's overly excited, I wonder why. "Never have I ever," Chris says knowingly.
Let's just say we all know Cgc well enough already. It's been a while since we've played because usually we only play whenever he's 'acting up' as Rhys likes to say. Just like Chris and I, Cgc and Rhys are best friends. They balance each other out because they're not alike at all. Lately, Rhys has been the one looking out for him. It's a shocker, really. He can barely take care of himself, but Cgc has been a little extra lately. Without football, he's had a lot of free time to do whatever the fuck he wants. He's been using that time wisely especially with football practice starting up again soon.
Cgc and Rhys sit next to me and Maddy, Chris, and Nova across from us. No one rejects his idea. "I'll go first. Never have I ever had a threesome," Cgc says with a smirk, immediately picking up a shot glass. The whole point is to say something you haven't done so that other people will get drunker than you but I guess he wants to get as drunk as everyone else. No one picks one up as Cgc waits for anyone else to admit to their crimes. I sigh, taking one off the table. "I said threesome, Xan. Not foursome," Cgc says, exposing me.
Rhys snorts, "More like an orgy." I elbow his ribs, but he doesn't even flinch. "Gross," Maddy says, making a disgusted face. My eyes flit to her at her words. Well, now I have to say something back. "Grab a shot glass, Madison. We all know you've been there," I say. She narrows her green eyes in my direction. "I actually haven't," she retorts. Christian looks between the both of us and then leans over to grab a shot. Nova's mouth gapes. "When was this?" she questions her boyfriend.
"Before you, obviously," his voice is low. I almost thought he wouldn't grab one just for the sake of not letting Nova know. Rhys reaches over last and grabs his. "Alright, cheers." We all raise our shots in the air before downing them. I lean onto the table to grab a lemon, using it as a chaser right after. I swear the first shots are always the worst. "Okay, we'll go in a circle. You're next, Xan," Cgc tells me. I think about something I haven't done before. "Never have I ever gone skinny dipping," I say easily.
Surprisingly it's something I've never done. I know someone in here has had to do it before. Nova, Maddy, and Cgc all grab shots. I nod my head a couple of times. "When was this?" Chris asks his girlfriend. She rolls her eyes, "My senior year," she tells him. He narrows his eyes at her, but he's not mad. "Okay, cheers," Maddy says. They all take the shot quickly. Two for Cgc. One for the rest of us. "Rhysie, go," Maddy teases him with that horrendous nickname. "Uh, never have I ever hooked up with someone three and above years older than me." He doesn't grab a shot.
