Elaine's P.O.V
The sun gleamed through the sheer curtains. I smelt pancakes. My nose lifted me up, searching for the smell. I slowly, lifted from the bed. Not in a huge rush, I slipped on some comfortable, fuzzy socks, and walked towards the kitchen area. I saw Louis, and Valerie cooking. Smirking, ass grabbing, teasing. My eyebrows lifted. What on earth happened last night? All I personally remember was Harry. His lips, his warmth, his taste. I coughed. Mainly to signal the two heating it up in the kitchen, I was present.
"Morning Elaine" Louis cheered as he poured the gooey pancake mix onto the sizzling griddle. He smiled, while looking at Valerie.
"The boys have an off day today" She informed while turning her body towards me. Shorts, oversized t-shirt, clearly tassled sex hair. I rolled my eyes, and smiled. My eyebrows creeping up. She bit her lower lip, and nodded. All while throwing a sexy smirk. I shrugged my shoulders as she turned around. Loving how we communicate through facial expressions.
***Later in the evening***
Harry hadn't stopped by to see me the entire day. I assumed he was leading up until our date? Not exactly sure, but I wanted it to be special. So I didn't go searching for him.
As I finished showering, and drying my hair, I looked down at my phone which recently buzzed. 1 New message.
"From Harry"
"Make sure your ready by six. We're going somewhere private. Don't dress too fancy"
I questioned myself.. private? Where on earth could somewhere private be? I finished my make up, and walked towards my polka dot luggage. I unzipped, and flipped the top. My hands searching for something not too fancy..
I threw on a simple black shirt, denim jeans, black combat boots, and my signature steampunk styled jewlery. I slid on the copper key hole ring, and clipped the necklace on the back of my neck. I swiped a bit of extra gloss on my lips, and I was finished.
I grabbed my phone, and sat in the giant couch placed in the living room. The clock striked 6, and not a minute after, I heard a knock at the door. My heart began to beat a bit faster. My mouth became dry. I took a sip of some water from the kitchen. Not long before answering the door.
His emerald green orbs focusing completly on my eyes as I swung the door open. He licked his lips once before smiling. The fuzzy feeling came back to me. My heart skipped a beat as I saw his smile. The same gesture he made after we kissed.
"Are we ready to go?" he asked. I smiled, and nodded. I stuffed the hotel key in my back pocket, and walked with him.
We walked down a couple of stairs, and exited the back enterance of the hotel. There was a couple of papparazzi's taking photos. I gasped as one flashed in our faces.
"It's alright. Don't pay any attention to them." he whispered as we continued walking. He opened the car door for me, and I climbed in. My legs struggling to get on the Range rover. I eventually succeeded, and put on my seatbelt.
He closed the door, and climbed into the drivers seat. His large hands turning the keys in the ignition, as he turned on the car. We drove out, leaving the papparazzi behind. After bumper to bumper traffic, we eventually made a stop near a dock.
"I hope you don't get sea sick" he smirked. After we exited the car, he took a hold of my hand. We walked together until we reached a boat. It was completly empty. His hands carfully placed on my hips. Guiding me onto the rocking boat.
"We're taking a little trip first. Then we'll have dinner" he advised while taking a seat. His hand slid onto mine. I gasped a little, but eventually I found his touch soothing. His thumb rubbing delicate circles on the back of my hand. He began humming as he looked out into the water. I followed his gaze. My eyes meeting with times square, and all the buildings creating the famous skyline. I smiled as I smelt the salty water.
Not long after, we had reached our destination. I looked up, and saw the famous Statue of Liberty. We docked on Liberty Island. I had always dreamed of visiting. I hadn't even realized the entire boat trip. My eyes flickered between the skyline, and Harry's eyes. My eyes widened, and I turned to Harry. He smiled, and lowered his head.
"We're here" he advised while grabbing a little basket near his side of the bench. With his other free hand, he grabbed mine. He walked me off the boat, and I stepped on solid ground. We found our way near the edge of the island.
He placed the basket on the grass, and let go of my hand. He opened the top, and pulled out a beautifully folded blanket. Probably Liams handy work. He spread it out, and began to place little rocks all around the edges.
"You can sit" he said shyly. I nodded, and sat down. Him following my movement.
"Harry.." I said slowly while sighing. His faced concerned. Turned to mine. "How could this possibly work?" I asked. My eyes lowering. I bit my lower lip. I had feelings. I cared. I cared knowing what would happen after tour was over. He'd leave. They would all leave.
"Listen Elaine.. I kno--"
"No you don't Harry.. Tour ends in a week!! You'll leave back to London, and everything that happened.. would have been a waste." I said while holding back a tear. His eyes darkened. Filled with sadness. He sighed.
"Meeting you.. wasn't a waste of time.. It's been amazing! My life has gotten so much better ever since meeting you.. And if this moment was all we had.." he said slowly while inching closer. His lips so smooth. "I wouldn't mind it" he said once before his lips landed on mine.
The moment was sweet. His warm, gentle lips leaving a soothing touch. The fuzzy feeling was comforting, his taste was intoxicating. I pulled away. Harshly, remembering everything. He had a career. Soon enough he'd leave. I would have been wasting my time with someone who would soon enough become nothing but a memory. I couldn't bare it. I soon enough began to cry. I turned my face away from his.
"Elaine please don't" he said out of breath. His words made me furious. As if he could tell me how to feel.
"I can't keep getting hurt Harry!" I said in a striking tone. Almost regretting in, but not quite. His gaze lowered. I felt his guilt. "I've lost so many people. People I truly cared about! My mother, father.. Damn it! My own sister! I lost them in a fucking fire!!!" I shouted, completly letting my anger out. This time not letting the tears get in my way. I took a deep breath before looking at him. "I'm not going to lose you.." I said.
"What are you saying?" he questioned.
"I'm saying.. I can't be with you. I'm not ever going to be with you.. I've gathered too many feelings for you Harry. I let my gaurd down.." I said as the tears continued slowly falling from my eyes. "I should have never gone on tour.." I said. This time completly regretting what I has just said. My heart completly sank. My head spinning, my fingers fidgeting. I looked up, and saw Harry's face. He was completly distraught. "I'm sorry." I whispered while getting up from the floor.
I wrapped my arms around myself as the cool breeze settled in. I looked out into the sky, as the sun began to set. While nibbling on my lower lip, I closed my eyes. Hoping a miracle would happen.
