It was a very hectic day in MotorCity. Everyone was in a panic after todays little announcement, courtesy of our least favorite tyrant- Abraham Kane. Before I start getting too far ahead of myself, let me start at the beginning. My name is Y/N, and I am a duelist. I live in a place called MotorCity, an underground free refuge that is out of reach of the billionaire tyrant, Abraham Kane. Before I was born, Kane promised people the city of the future, but in the process stole everyones freedom. So, my parents decided to leave Detroit Deluxe and move to MotorCity.
Anyway, You're probably wondering what this announcement was that put people in a panic. Well, it happened about 3 hours ago, when everyone was wide awake. Abraham Kane appeared on a holographic red screen and began speaking:
Kane: Hello MotorCity! It's your old pal and leader of deluxe, Abraham Kane, coming to you live with an important announcement. Today, I will be starting a new way to destroy your hog hole you call home. I call it, "The Duel War." Starting today, if you want to, you can join a team in order to fight my elite duelists in rigorous combat. To end the war, you have two choices: surrender your freedom and live in deluxe, or defeat me in a duel. Have a good-I mean bad- day!
As one could imagine, this was bad news. Unfortunately, everyone began to panic- causing a town wide riot. I was not phased by this event, as I was on my way to join one team in particular, the Burners. They were a 5 person group that always tried to keep the peace, and give Kane a headache. Since my parents were working at the refinery on a secret project, I was going to join the Burners in this war. Especially since i was able to complete my own deck.
Burner's Garage, Unknown Location
Inside the garage, the burners were peparing for the war, going at it with each other. The current duel was already over. The winner was Julie, a woman wearing a yellow jacket and green jeans. Her opponent was Chuck, a blonde man wearing a light blue t shirt and black jeans. The onlookers included Texas, Dutch and the leader Mike. Mike used to work for Kane, until he found out the truth and rebelled against him. Now he and his team fight to protect the peace of MotorCity. After going over the duel and pointing out potential flaws in strategies, an elderly man appeared on a green holoscreen.
???: Mike, are you there?
Mike: Right here. What's up Jacob?
Jacob was also a member of the burners. He worked on projects with Kane in the past, before Deluxe even existed.
Jacob: Mike, we got company. There's some kid saying he wants to join the burners in the duel war.
Mike: Wait, someone wants to join us? Let him in, I want to talk to him.
Jacob nodded and hung up. After a second, the doors opened and revealed Jacob and myself. Jacob normally wore a worn out mechanic uniform with a red cap. I was dressed in a shirt with a bat looking symbol and black sweatpants.
Jacob: Everyone, this is Y/N. He wants to join our team in the duel war.
Y/N: Hi!
Mike: Hi Y/N, I'm Mike Chillton. Jacob here tells me you want to join our team. Before I say anything else, I want to test your skills. If you beat me in a duel, I will let you join. If you lose, you have to leave. Deal?
Y/N: Deal. But I wont go down easily.
As we entered the field, we readied our decks and disks. Once activated, we began.
Both: LET'S DUEL!
Mike: I'll go first. I set one monster face down and end my turn.
Y/N: My move, I draw. I summon Seamoon Fangire in ATK mode.

Mike: Fangire? What's a Fangire?
Y/N: Energy draining vampires made out of stained glass windows. I activate Seamoon's special ability. Once per turn, I can add one Fangire Monster from my deck to my hand. I choose Moth Fangire. Next, I activate the spell Hand Destruction. Now we send 2 cards in our hands to the graveyard, then we draw another 2 cards. Now Seamoon Fangire, attack Mike's facedown monster- TIDAL TERROR!
My monster unleased a powerful blast of water at Mike's monster, which was revealed to be Drone Pawn.
Mike: Sorry pal, but Drone Pawn can't be destroyed in battle.
Y/N: No problem. Since I have 2 Fangire monsters in my graveyard, I can Special Summon Moose Fangire in ATK mode.

Just as Mike was about to draw, Chuck interrupted him. There was a crear tone of urgency in his throat.
Mike: Chuck, what is it?
Chuck: Its the Duke! He's causing problems at the Skylark's Motel.
Mike: Not good. Sorry Y/n, looks like we'll have to stop here. For now, you are on a trial period. You got one week to prove you belong on this team.
Y/N: Ok.
And that is how my start in the duel war began....
