Long ago two races ruled over the planet, Humans, and Monsters. Humans fearing the Monsters power to absorb human souls, attacked the monsters. A war broke out, Humans have superior numbers thought their victory was a guarantee. But then it happened, a human sage looking for powerful magical ore to make weapons found a sealed cave. The magical seal around the cave was formed by human and monster magic. Not knowing what could be so important or so dangerous that both races sealed it off. The Sage broke the seal, in order to steal what ever was inside. Unfortunately what they found wasn't treasure, or weapons. It was an ancient and malicious force, a Parasite, one made of Crystals and gems. Crystal animals and bugs crawled along the cave, almost instantly the Sage knew what he had done and ran. He ran to the Leaders of both Humans and Monsters, warning them of his mistake.

He wanted to get their help to reseal the Evil Parasites, but the human leaders refused. Saying their war was far to important, and that Monster kind was to dangerous to be trusted. Their irrational hate confused the sage, so he ran once more. If the Humans refused to help, then he would have to ask someone else, a Higher power. He went to the divine Mountain and asked for a sign. Pleaded for someone anyone to help him save his world, but no body came. Not on the first day, nor the second, nor third, but on the forth day. He got an answer, a golden flame ignited on the very top of the mountain. Determined to get help, the Sage climbed the mountain. When he got to the top it was midnight, and what greeted him was not some great inferno. But a gently flame, a small golden flame on top of the frozen peak. It was warm, inviting, calming, it was life, it was creation, it was love.

The flame flickered gently in the night, the golden color reflecting off the snow around the sage. It was the most beautiful thing the Sage had ever seen, then it began to speak. The flame asked the young sage, why did he call for help so desperately? The sage explained the story to the flame, and how it maybe to late to contain the crystal parasite by now. The flame felt concerned for this world, and more so the multiverse. If this parasite learned of the Multiverse, it could try to take it over. The Flame's color began to change, speckles of black and white flickering in the gold. It commanded the Sage to go to the Monster kingdom, before entering their soul. The Sage felt the power of the flame, it felt to much for his soul to take. But he knew he had to take the weight of it for now. Summoning his staff, the Sage began his journey. He was determined, and he would see this through. The journey would be a long and arduous one, but the sage was up to the task.

As he walked along the road, he noticed he did not tire nor did he grow hungry. He had to expel his magic more and more frequently as well. The Flame's power was leaking into his soul, making him powerful. But it was eating him away, the Sage asked of the Flame. A new Body a new form to handle its power along the journey. The flame granted his wish, the sage became a skeleton hybrid. Half human, half skeleton, more powerful than either and no longer in danger of magic overload. He thanked the Flame and asked it's name, the Flame told them to name it as it had no name in this world. The Sage did not know of a name powerful enough to embody the flames greatness. The Flame seemed to be the greatest magical caster the Sage had met. Like the God of Magic itself, it's power seemed almost limitless. For now the Flame remained nameless, as their journey together continued.

The Sage's form changed was able to walk as Man or Monster, and was able to easily talk to the monster King. He told the King everything, and the king was shocked. They both knew by now it was to late to contain the Crystals. But the King had a plan, he called upon his greatest Scientist W.D. Gaster. After being told everything, Gaster to formed a plan. If the Flame was so powerful they could change a persons form. They could most likely destroy the Parasites, but it needed a suitable Host to do so. Unfortunately, there was no such host to be found. But, there could be a way to make one, If the Sage were to absorb the power of seven human and seven monster souls. His Body, could become a near perfect host, if it wasn't destroyed. The problem, only boss monster souls were strong enough to be absorbed. And they were all fighting in the war.

The flame however, knew of a way to turn normal monsters into Boss monsters. This shocked the King and Gaster, the problem though, it was a slow process. And they could only do it five times, the King wasn't worried. For his wife was about to have his son, the King offered his soul as one of the offerings. The Flame didn't want to take the king from his people, but there was no other way. If they took a boss from the front, the humans would invade before they could create a host. But that also meant one thing, they would have to get seven human soul as well. On top of one more Boss monster's soul. They started with empowering five monsters into Boss monsters, five volunteers willing to give their souls. As the flame stated it was a slow process, and it took a lot out of their host. But the Sage was determined to see this through. Next was the human souls, they were lucky. As they had 7 POWs in the dungeon. Just enough to work, the problem was, the last Monster Soul.

Fortunately and unfortunately, they would not need to wait for long. As the Queen, would lose her life in labor. The Flame taking her soul in desperation, this enraged the King. Though he knew why the flame did so, it was keeping it safe so the Sage could absorb it later. Next was the five volunteers, then the seven human prisoners. At first they thought the Sage was there to save them, until he started to slaughter them all. Only the King's soul was left to get, he gave himself up willingly. After the souls were collected, the Sage absorbed them all at once, nearly losing himself. With so much power, his souls cracked and begin to shatter. The Flame using it's power, and the sages soul, as well as the collected souls, to create a new vessel. A baby, a small skeleton/human/god, perfect for it's power. As the Flame entered the small vessel the Sage knew he was going to die. So he gave the Flame the thing it wanted most, a name. He named it Caster, for that was the only name fitting. The Flame was the ultimate magical Caster after all, why not make sure everyone knew it.

The Sage looked at the small baby bones, his companion, his friend, and in a way, his son. He looked at Gaster, in a way Caster was as much his son as he was the Sage's. Gaster was confused by his statement, until he realized. The Flame had used his magic as well to give it the vessel's form. The Flame must have known if he only used the Sage's magic and power, he wouldn't get to see the completed vessel. The hope of this world, so it used some of Gaster's as well. Enough to stabilize the form, and to transfer over, Gaster looked at the small baby bones in front of him. He had just helped birth a god, one to destroy the Crystal parasites and help create a better world. The Sage laughed a bit, asking Gaster to help them remove their hat and cloak. Confused Gaster did as they were told, revealing not a grand old man. But a strong and beautiful young woman. Gaster was shocked, until he noticed the enchantments on her cloak and hat.

She had hid her identity for her protection, but now as she was dying. It didn't matter, she wanted her real hands to hold her child. Gaster laid her on a bed before handing her the baby. The soft look in her eyes said it all, then she started to cry. Saddened by the thought of never seeing them grow up. As the baby cooed in her arm's it sounded weird. Gaster's eyes widened, it was a cypher, and an important one. Gaster told her the importance of it and she added it to the child's name. Web Dings Caster, her no their precious baby bones. Gaster joked a bit about his other kids, and hoping they'd enjoy having a new sibling. The Sage, was happy to hear they'd have a big family, then something happened that scared them both. The magic of the Flame suddenly spiked, cracking the Vessels skull. Luckily the baby didn't seem hurt, they even slept through it. The Sage held the baby bones until the end, never letting go even after her life slipped away. After she died, only then did Caster cry, as if they could tell what happened. Gaster looked at the Sage saddened by her passing, after he picked up the baby. The Sage turned to dust and bones, she was later buried at the foot of the Divine mountain as per her final wish.
