How could she be in Daniel's place? Unless it's not. He could have broken in.. No. This isn't his house. It can't be. Bathrooms look similar, so what? That doesn't make it his. Cam shrugged it off, trying to forget about it. She got dried off and got into some clothes that Shawn had given her. After she had brushed out her hair, she went to watch tv.
She watched what was on because she couldn't find the remote but it was fine because she liked the show. Schitts Creek. Again.
Shawn wasn't in the room anymore but Cam didn't bother to look for him.
She watched the show for about 20 minutes before she realized she didn't have her phone. She grabbed her whiteboard and scribbled the words "do you have my phone?" and she went to look for Shawn.
She searched for 5 minutes before she found him in his bedroom folding laundry. He smiled at her and she showed him the whiteboard. He squinted as he read it. "Yes I do, actually," he turned around and opened a dresser drawer, rustled around a bit and gave Cam her phone and her charger.
"It might be dead so I would suggest charging it first. Also I will need it back at 9:00 every night" he said before going back to folding the laundry.
Cam tilted her head and wrote, why? on the whiteboard.
"Because I said so now go watch tv or something" he waved her away. Cam walked out with her phone and charger to look for an outlet.
Worth a shot to try to turn it on.. she thought. She clicked the power button and her bisexual flag lock screen glowed. Cam smiled and checked the percentage. 54%. Not bad. She unlocked her phone and checked her texts. Only one from her mother that read, "Be home soon! Love you! 😘 P.S please take a pound of ground beef out of the freezer to thaw." Well, that didn't happen. The text was sent 43 minutes ago. They might be home now. She set her phone down on the table and sat down next to it and it buzzed. Another text from her mom. "I thought you were home. Where are you?"
Cam sighed and texted back, "I'm sorry. I will be there tomorrow"
"Why? Where are you?"
Cam realized that she actually didn't know where she was. She checked her location but it had been turned off and parent restrictions didn't allow her to turn it back on. Parent restrictions hardly allowed her to do anything. It was like her age was put in as 10. Instagram,Snapchat, Twitter and all of her social media was gone and couldn't get them again because of the restrictions.
Great she thought. At least texts work though. That's something.
Suddenly, the door flew open, making Cam jump. She looked at the door but only saw the road from outside. She tilted her head over the top of couch to see better. All she saw was the arm of a man on his phone.
"Dad?!" Yelled the man as he walked in. He had a mask on along with sunglasses and a hat. He looked over at Cam.
"Well hey there" he said. "Nice to see you again, Cam"
Cam raised an eyebrow, trying to not look terrified that he knew her name. Just then, Shawn walked into the room.
"Ah I see you too are reconnecting" Shawn said with a smile. Cam scribbled the words "Who is he and how does he know my name?" on the whiteboard.
The guy took off his hat, sunglasses and mask. "Look familiar?" He asked.
Daniel. Of course, it was Daniel.
