AMARANTH VALIENTE

I remember seeing Ferdinand Yllak Orpilla Marcos for the first time. I passed by the dressing rooms going to my talk show called, "Amaranth". Yes. I work for my family's company. After gaining experience in other small broadcasting company for two years, lumipat ako dito. I am not the heir naman so it's not really a big deal for me. I am only a minor stockholder in our company. Ayoko ng hassle. Kahit pa nga ibigay nilang lahat sa kuya ko eh.

I was the one who took the time slot of my ninong Mikael. Matanda na kasi siya kaya mas gusto niya na behind camera na lang daw siya. Sa pagiging busy niya sa career niya ay hindi na siya nakapag-asawa. He was successful in the career path he chose and even became one of the stockholders of our company but he wasn't able to get married. I look up to him pero pagdating sa love life ay hindi ko siya gagayahin.

Anyway, ayun nga, I saw Yllak heading out the dressing room kung saan sila naka-hold para sa isang photoshoot for the family magazine na hawak ni ninang Dani Ramirez-Cruz. He looked so handsome with his long-sleeve polo na pink. He looked like the feisty male version of his mom. Hot. Attractive. Tall. Nang lumabas ang mom niya ay agad niya itong inakbayan at niyakap then kissed his mom's forehead. I literally fell for him that moment.

I tried to follow him on his social media's but he has too many fans for him to notice me. I keep on bugging kuya Alexander, ninang Dani's son to set us up pero tinatawanan niya lang ako. I heard he is at home for vacation and his parent's are celebrating their silver wedding anniversary. Ninang Dani was asking me if I know any host daw for the event and I offered myself, insisting I wasn't busy.

It was a lie. I have a photo shoot for a local brand that time pero I cancelled it. I so wanted to grab this chance to meet Yllak and I didn't want the opportunity to go away. I heard that Senator Sandro Marcos met his wife in an event and maybe it would be the same for me and Yllak. This is really an opportunity.

So much for an opportunity that I screwed up when I stood up in that podium.

"Ferdinand Yllak Orpilla Marcos got me pregnant." Came out my mouth when I was about to start the program. It wasn't even a rehearsal. It was real. Hawak-hawak ko yung microphone. Nakatayo ako sa harap ng maraming tao and it was also being filmed by my family's media.
