Three years later
...
Bojack stood in front of Mr. Peanutbutter's door, waiting for him to come out. Today Mr. Peanutbutter had planned a special outing for the two of them.
"Hey Bojack, I'm ready!" Mr. Peanutbutter smiled as he opened the door.
"Alright let's go, I'm excited to see whatever this special outing you planned is going to be!" Bojack responded with a grin.
Mr. Peanutbutter began driving his jeep to the secret destination, a little nervous about what was to come. They arrived at a beautiful, serene lake with a gorgeous blue sky above them. They sat down on one of the logs by the lake, simply taking in the view.
After a few moments of quiet, Mr. Peanutbutter spoke. "So, Bojack..." He panicked and lost his nerve. "This is a nice lake isn't it?"
"It is really nice. Thanks for taking us here."
"Yeah, I figured it would be really romantic to come here, just the two of us." This was not the only reason Mr. Peanutbutter wanted to take Bojack here, but he was still working up the courage to get to that.
"So there's no particular reason you brought me here?" Bojack raised an eyebrow, suspicious.
"Well.." He supposed now was as good a time as any. "I have an important question for you Bojack."
"Oh? And what might that be?"
"You see...I love you very much. And after all this time dating, I felt that...maybe it was time to ask. "
Mr. Peanutbutter got down on one knee. and pulled a small box from his pocket. A box containing a ring.
"Bojack, will you marry me?" He asked.
Bojack seemed shocked. "You want to marry me?"
"Yes. If you'll have me."
"Of course, I want to marry you, Mr. Peanutbutter, but are you sure you want to put up with me forever? I'm a total disaster and-"
"I've thought it through Bojack. I want to be with you. You and no one else."
"Wow. You sure you're not crazy?"
Mr. Peanutbutter chuckled. "I'm not crazy. Well, maybe a little."
Bojack laughed. "Okay, I'll marry you." He accepted the ring.
Mr. Peanutbutter stood up and the two shared a lust-filled kiss.
"I love you so much", Bojack whispered to his fiance.
"Wait!" Mr. Peanutbutter pulled away, seeming to remember something. "Bojack, before you agree to marry me, there's something you really should know."
"What?"
"There's something I've been keeping from you. I never meant to be dishonest, but I came to this realization after we began dating and I just couldn't bring myself to tell you. In case it made you want to break up with me." Mr. Peanutbutter's voice filled with despair.
"What is it? Are involved in crime? Are you in love with someone else? Are you...pregnant?"
"Nice guess, but I am not pregnant Bojack. It's much worse." Mr. Peanutbutter hung his head in shame.
"What could possibly be worse?" Bojack asked, confused.
"Bojack, I'm...gay. I'm a homosexual."
There was a second of silence.
Bojack laughed. "Come here, you dumbass."
They kissed passionately.
