"Hey rudy, you know I am glad that it's you though" she said
Her voice sounded as if she would cry any given time. I wanted to know what expression was on her face.
"How did we ended up like like this? " He asked with the tears streaming face.
A face that she could never bear to watch.
"Just why did it has to be us, ruby?" He kept on asking
There were no answer from her, just as he thought. Afterall, it was question that she is been asking too.
He looked at her as if possessed. The golden hair that swayed with every wind that blew, she stood there facing him with the first sunlight that hit on her bloodsoaked face.
There she was with the most saddest smile on her face. She looked as if she would crumble and fade away in dust if touched carelessly.
"Let's end this, the way it's supposed to be"
While gripping the sword tightly in her hand. The figure he wanted to protect more than anything else uttered the most cruel words ever.
With the end of twilight they both made the choice that will change everything the history of the empire and life of the Lord they were serving.
He too smiled faintly and looked up at her and spoke.
