~Chapter 16~

a/n hey guys, sorry i disappeared for a while, i had absolutely no motivation to write anything, buuuuut im back and hopefully i will be updating more often :)

Y/n's POV

I can't believe I actually told her how I felt. Even if it wasn't a proper confession, I thought it was still a good one. I actually said it at least.

I don't think Mo realized though. She would've confessed back right? Or does she not like me that way? She might not. Just because she liked the kiss we shared doesn't mean she has to like me.

Shit. I hadn't thought of this before. I shouldn't have told her anything. That's probably why shes being so awkward now. Do I make her uncomfortable?

I feel like shes avoiding me. Shit. I messed up really bad.

"y/n, is something wrong?" Momo spoke up.

"Ah no, nothing. Sorry Yaomomo."

She stared at me with a confused expression. Maybe because I called her Yaomomo. But I just want to create distance so she doesn't feel uncomfortable around me.

I don't know what'd I'd do if I found out that she was uncomfortable around me. I might be more upset about that than I was about Hanta and I splitting up. Honestly I feel relieved that we aren't together.

Don't get me wrong, I love(d) him. But our relationship felt so fake. Plus, after Momo and Todoroki, we were the 'it' couple. But we were the ones that seemed real.

"y/n, you seem to be lost in your head. Are you sure everything is okay?"

"I'm okay Yaomomo, just thinking."

"You aren't okay. You're gloomy and zoning out more than usual. Plus you keep calling me Yaomomo."

"Well. I don't know what to say anymore."

"What's on your mind? I'll listen, I promise."

"Mo-"

"I'm serious y/n. Tell me what happened. Or, only if you're comfortable of course."

"Did I make you uncomfortable earlier?"

Momo stared at me, she seems confused.

"Well, I basically confessed to you earlier Momo. And you didn't say anything in response. So I'm assuming that I made you uncomfortable. Which is why I was calling you Yaomomo, to create distance."

"But you didn't make me uncomfortable. I've been trying to come up with a response since we've gotten back y/n."

"Oh. Really?" I let out a relieved chuckle. Momo stared at me with the softest expression on her face. "I'm really glad you aren't mad at me, and that I didn't make you uncomfortable."

"You have nothing to worry about y/n. And as for what you had told me on our way back to the dorms. I feel the same towards you. Even as I was with Todo, I still liked you.

His and my relationship was just a front. And a way for me to hide away from my true feelings. That would explain why I didn't particularly feel anything after him and I broke up. I was only so frustrated with the relationship because I felt I wasn't good enough."

"Mo."

"Please don't give me any pity on the situation. My point is that I like you too y/n, a lot."

"I'm glad you do. It would've been so embarrassing if you didn't and I had confessed to you and kissed you." I nervously laughed.

"y/n, would you like to go out on a date sometime soon?"

"I'd love to Mo. Just let me know when and where."

"I have an idea, but I want it to be a surprise."

"Oh? Taking me out on a super secret mission for our date?"

"Oh definitely." She rolled her eyes playfully as she laughed.

"Well if it's a surprise, at least help me choose an outfit so I don't stand out."

"Of course I will y/n. Don't worry."

I stared at her for a moment. Momo is staring at my ceiling. She really is beautiful.

"Do you need something dear?"

"Ah no, sorry."

"No worries. I just noticed you staring and thought you might need or want something."

"No. I just was staring at how beautiful you are." My face flushed with embarrassment. All I can feel is the heat from my cheeks burning up. I didn't think she'd notice.

Shoto's POV

I am finally arriving back at the dorms after being busy at home. Fuyumi wanted me to come over for family bonding time with Natsuo and Mom.

It was nice. Definitely not what I expected. I told the three of them about my break up with Yaoyorozu and how I'm now dating Hanta. They want to meet him.

I'm not sure if he would be up to it. But if he is, that would be very nice.

"Hey Shoto." I turned towards the common area and saw Izuku and the others hanging out.

"Hello guys." I send a small smile towards them. As I was about to walk away Iida called out to me. "Why don't you join us Todoroki?"

I wanted to refuse but I feel a little bad. Since everything with Hanta, I've been ignoring all of my friends.

"Okay, let me get changed first." I replied before making my way to my room.

As I was walking I ran into Hanta who was with Denki, Kirishima, Bakugo and surprisingly Sato.

Hanta and Sato are friends, but Sato doesn't seem like the type to hang out with them.

Should I say hi? No, I'll wait for him to notice me. I walked slower in hopes that he would, but he didn't. I suppose he's lost in his head. It's alright maybe I can get him to stay in my dorm with me tonight.

I need to talk to him about meeting my family anyways.

I changed out of my school uniform and into my everyday clothes then made my way back down to the common area.

My friends sat there waiting, with a new two additional people. I sat beside Iida. Now our group consists of, Izuku, Ochako, Mina, Tsu, Iida, and Kaminari.

I suppose with Kaminari dating Iida and Ochako and Mina being together, it makes sense. Does that mean I can invite Hanta to sit with us. Wait, wasn't Kaminari just with Hanta? Now I'm confused.

It's fine. I'm sure it's no big deal.

We all talked for a while, Kirishima ended up joining us as well.

"So Shoto, how are you feeling about Yaomomo and y/n dating?" Ochako asks.

"The two are dating now? I guess they didn't waste any time."

"Neither did you and Sero." Kaminari mentioned in a playful tone to hid whatever intent he may have had.

"I'm just saying. Suddenly l/n is acting like she's all that because she dated Hanta and now she has Yaoyorozu at her beck and call."

"Seriously Todoroki? I'm so tired of you and Sero both playing victim. You're the ones that broke those girls hearts, why can't you just be happy for them. You're one of the unmanliest people I know." Kirishima spat out before getting up and storming off.

"Seriously Todo, it's so uncool." Kaminari walked off as well.

I looked to Midoriya who seemed torn. He doesn't know whether to comfort me or his boyfriend. I'm sure he'll choose his boyfriend.
