Tonight you planned to get wasted. It was New Year's and you planned to live it like your last. Though that may have been a mistake when you found yourself passed out with only two bottles of Vodka into the night. Your Mum was going to throw a fit when you visited tomorrow. When you woke up it wasn't your cream ceiling that you saw but a face. A face of a person you didn't know but sort of recognised and in a room you had never set foot in. It looked like you were trapped in a Museum. The room was bleak, lacking any suitable furniture the wallpaper was slightly peeling and there looked to be an oil lamp of some kind in the corner on a small chipped table.
The face that had been looking over you moments ago was now shouting calling for someone, the words he said were muffled and you were sure that there was a slight ringing sound ricocheting around the room. After a few seconds, many people crowded into the room, now this is where you had to admit that you might have been going crazy because Cillian Murphy was standing in the corner of the room. But that would've been impossible it wasn't until you looked at the other faces in the room that you realised that the cast of Peaky Blinders was standing in front of you. Though by the looks of it, they weren't acting.
You pinched yourself slightly checking you weren't dreaming and then checked you had all ten fingers. After realising you were not dreaming you blacked out again or at least you think it was again.
When you came around you could hear muffled voices.
"I told you not to crowd her."
"She looks scared shitless."
"Who is she?"
"Why did you bring her here?"
The last thing you heard before you opened your eyes was, "Will everyone shut up!"
When you opened your eyes only one person was in the room, they had a bowl of water and a towel of sorts with them. By the looks of it, it was Polly Gray.
"You okay, love?" Polly's voice was soft compared to the shouting she had heard previously.
"Yeah, yeah. Have a few questions though, a bit confused." It was obvious she was confused by your accent. As there wasn't one. You had been brought up in a well-off household so never really picked up the accent of the area. It probably confused her as to why someone so well brought up was in Birmingham at that.
"Of course, what do you want to ask?" Polly seemed accommodating to your woes.
"What happened to me and where am I?"
"Well firstly, I wasn't the one who found you but from what my nephew John had said you had blacked out in the Garrison. But you seemed confused as to where you were and kept on muttering random things. Secondly, you're in Small Heath, Birmingham."
"Okay, Ummm. Sorry but what's your name?" It would be odd for you not to remember anything and then know their entire family history or as much as you could remember from the show. In all honesty, you mainly watched well drunk and eating ice cream.
"Polly Grey. Do you remember your name?"
"Yeah, it's Lily Stone. Thank you for looking after me but I really should be going. To find out how I ended up blacked out and all that." In all honesty, you wanted to go home and get out of this weird dream-like state you were in.
"Are you sure? You still look a bit pale." Polly still seemed concerned about your health. But it wasn't like she could force you to stay.
"Don't worry, I naturally look washed out." You said trying to avoid conversation.
As you stumbled out of the room you were met with the entire Shelby family and a few other random blinders. Poll came out behind you and gave a stern glare at all of them to stop staring, she had a hand resting on your back to help steady you as you leaned on the door frame.
You turned to look at Polly well whispering slightly, "Who are they? And why are they all looking at me weirdly."
"These are my nephews and my son and it seems that some of their friends are here as well." Polly look pointedly at Isaiah who was trying to hide behind Michael. This luckily made some of the people who weren't family leave. Only the Shelby brothers were left along with Michael and Isaiah who had somehow managed to stay.
In the time it took them to leave you tried to take in your appearance. You were wearing a blouse and a long skirt, your legs seemed to have stockings on them from what you could feel and it was quite obvious the bra you were wearing gave no back support. You were tempted to massage your shoulders a bit but decided against it as the entire family's eyes were on you.
"Why are they looking at me though?" This was meant to be said only to Polly but it seemed the others heard as Arthur, John and Finn all decided to find a really interesting spot on the wall. Though Tommy, Michael and Isaiah still decided to stare at you
"You did cause quite a stir last night, surprised us a bit."
"Why? From what you told me earlier it didn't sound that bad." At this, you could hear a few grunts of amusement come from the boys.
"Well, I kind of left a part out so as not to shock you. You see some men tried to come onto well you were very drunk and surprisingly you managed to knock them all out cold and still stay standing." Now this did shock you as you would've thought you would remember knocking out a grown man. You normally don't remember much from when you were drunk but from what your friends had told you before you caused a good few bar fights and would always come out on top.
"I did? That explains the looks. Don't remember doing that." You laughed a bit to yourself as Polly guided you to sit down on a nearby chair.
What had you gotten yourself into?
