Hana's POV:
____________________________It was hard keeping my eyes open on the ride to school.
And during first period.
And during second period.
And during lunch.
To be specific, by lunch time my eyelids felt like heavy bricks.
I was fighting to stay awake while sitting at our lunch table.
I slept for so long, but my brain never really rested.
"- so I told Mr. Kang I didn't have time to do the Geometry homework" Soyeon's voice got louder the faster I zoned back in.
"Are you even listening??" Soyeon poked me to get my attention.
I flinched and sat up.
"Yeah? Something about homework...?" I nervously smiled.
Soyeon waited for me to mention more things.
"And Geometry?- I'm glad I don't have to do that anymore..." I muttered sarcastically.
Soyeon smiled, "I was going to ask for help but you seem tired" Soyeon passed me a granola bar.
"Honestly, I sleep well now... I don't know what's wrong" I groaned as I opened the granola bar.
As if.
I for sure knew I was exhausted because Donghyun was always keeping me on the edge of my seat.
"Have you, like... thought about taking meds for it again? It helped last time, right?" Soyeon asked as she took a sip of her milk.
I hadn't thought about that.
Instant, soundless sleep does sound nice right now.
"I would, but I don't want to get addicted, last time I was borderline addicted to them" I depressingly took a bite of the granola bar.
Then I realized the granola bar was grape flavored-
"Did you get the grape one?? That's literally the nastiest out of all the options-"
"Don't talk down on those, they're actually really good" Soyeon grabbed the bar from my hand.
I chuckled as Soyeon read the ingredient list.
I looked around for once.
My eyes didn't feel as heavy.
"I think there were some chocolate ones left over" Soyeon kept on reading.
"Want one?" I asked Soyeon as I stood up.
She had taken a bite out of the grape bar, and scrunched her face in disgust.
"Yeah get me two-" She spit the piece out.
I turned and made my way down to the lunch line.
"Yo, Eun-Hana!" I heard some guy call my name.
"Where's Donghyun? Still in practice?" One of his friends yelled out.
How am I supposed to know?
I nodded just to screw with him and kept on walking.
I hadn't heard anything from Donghyun for the last 8 hours.
He randomly left as I was asleep, with not even a text saying he left...
He just... disappeared.
It was just me and Soyeon at the lunch table, you know, because Chae was too busy swapping saliva to remember what period we have lunch in.
