{The stupidest of stupidities}

✧✦✧

"You're a bitch," Blaise spoke through gritted teeth as we sat at the Slytherin table for dinner.

"And why am I a bitch exactly?" I questioned through narrowed eyes, a slight smirk appearing on my lips as I knew exactly why.

Blaise covered his face with his palms, "You made me fail my paper," He groaned, "You told me it was an otter," He complained.

I let out a short laugh, "That just proves that you shouldn't trust everything I say, Zabini. Besides, I'm not a textbook, I'm a person."

As Blaise slid his hands down his face and rested them on the table, he tried to stifle a smile, though it was clearly difficult as Luis burst into laughter, shortly followed by Blaire. I shook my head with a smile as I looked down towards my plate, picking at the parts of food I could eat, "Yours is a deer, Blaise," I spoke with a smile.

"Now that makes no sense at all," Blaire started, "Blaise is nothing like a deer."

"It's not about that, that has nothing to do with it, Blaire," I sighed, "Just because your birthstone relates to a certain animal, doesn't mean the person relates to it the same."

I could see her shrug in my peripheral vision before she began eating again. My mind suddenly began looking through my memories, I sorted through them preparing to occlude the unwanted ones far behind my walls. As I sorted through the countless memories, I suddenly came across the last night I had been on the hill. The last time we had sat there, was the first time we had kissed. I searched through that memory, reliving everything that happened, every feeling and emotion that occurred to me at that point in time. The way his lips felt against mine, how he tasted of sweet breath mints, everything.

"Can we go to the hill tonight? Two taps, yes-"

He tapped twice without hesitation, making me have to stop the smile from tugging at the corner of my lips.

"Meet me in the common room at eleven."

It had become a daily routine, it became clear to me that Draco had found an almost constant connection within the forefront of my mind. He was constantly there, constantly waiting to hear what I was thinking, if I had anything to say. It became our way of communication, though I still wanted to learn how he could do it. I wanted to be able to hear his thoughts as he heard mine. It would make everything so much easier.

As we walked back towards the dungeons, Luis and Blaise draped an arm around my shoulder, "Keep an eye on Pucey tomorrow," Luis winked with a smirk and a stifled laugh from Blaise.

My brows furrowed as I thought about what they had told me, but then I remembered that they were planning to get back at him. My eyes widened as I thought of all the possibilities, all the ravenous outcomes they could have come up with. Not to mention, they had roped the Weasley twins in with their plans. I sighed slightly as I leaned into their slight embrace. It was nice to know that I had people who would do anything for me, people who could help me if I needed it. Even though I never really did need it, they had done this on their own accord.

"What did you two do?" I asked warely.

"You'll see, you won't be able to miss it," Blaise whispered before tickling at my sides, causing me to flinch and giggle slightly.

I could see that Draco had turned around at my laughter while Blaise and Luis continued to poke and tickle me. I couldn't contain the laughter, my lungs felt as though they were about to give out, my chest ached as I begged for them to stop between countless giggles. As they stopped, we had turned a corner and someone walked straight into me.
