The sun reach at its peak as Tanjiro walk the pathway on the open area.

"Nezuko, are you all right?" Tanjiro ask while walking

He wait for her to respond but she didn't so he look at his box.

'I'm just guessing here, but it could be that Nezuko's recovering her strength by sleeping instead of consuming human flesh. As for your cousin, aside from sleeping, her abilities resemble a phoenix. Burning something she touch in her will and turning herself to ashes. I notice she goes back to her full strength when she rise from her ashes like she's reborn which resemble a phoenix. Tanjiro continue on traveling and let Nezuko sleep.

'Nezuko... You get lots of rest' Tanjiro thought

It's almost sunset when Tanjiro reach the village. He cross the bridge and observe his surroundings as he enter the village. The villagers do their own business like everything's normal and nothing happen but when Tanjiro listen intently to the women who were conversing beside the road he knew they are worried about something that is happening in the village. That's when Tanjiro saw a man with a bruise on his face, walking aimlessly while looking at nothingness with his dull eyes. Tanjiro look at him with curiousity and his mind assume something happen to him.

"Oh, look, there's Kazumi. Poor thing he looks so haggard"

"Because he was with Satoko when she was taken"

Tanjiro heard some people converse in lower tone as he passed by Kazumi.

" Night after night... It's so creepy"

" It's so dreadful!"

"When night falls, yet another young girl will be abducted!"

Hearing those words made Tanjiro's assumption right so he immediatly ran back and called out Kazumi.

"Mr. Kazumi!"

Kazumi stop on his tracks and turn to look at Tanjiro.

"If you don't mind, I'd like to hear your story. Is that all right?"

Kazumi told him what happen and take Tanjiro to the street where Satoko vanished. That's when Tanjiro caught a slight scent left by a demon so he crawl on the ground to sniff which freak out Kazumi a little. Tanjiro continue sniffing and ignore the villagers' and passerby's weird looks while Kazumi only follow behind. Their searching for a trace went until night but Tanjiro didn't stop.

"You're gonna keep going?"

"Yes"

"Look how late it's gotten. I'm flattered that you're so concern for me, but shouldn't you pick up again tomorrow and get some rest?" Kazumi weakly asks as they walk on the street at night

Not one villager is found walking in the street this night, afraid that their female relative or daughter will be taken away so they stay indoor to guard their love ones. Tanjiro kneeled at the ground and found another faint scent left by demon but he reply at Kazumi.

"Those things are active during the night. So, I can't afford to rest. I've detected a new scent in this area. It's gotta be somewhere nearby" Tanjiro reply as he look around

Kazumi kneeled his right leg as he look at Tanjiro with interest and hope.

"Those things... Don't tell me you're.... You're seriously..."

Tanjiro continue looking around as he try to smell. Tanjiro jolted up when he caught a strong scent of demon and immediately sprint off.

"What's gotten into you all of a sudden?" Kazumi ask as he look at Tanjiro, only to see Tanjiro already at the end of the street and it's about to take turn
