Tejo's mouth went dry with fury, her eyes turned red sharp. Clenching her fists she breathed in, 'You are here for your wedding, not to kill this vermin.' She exhaled before jumping down from the haystack and started walking away.

"Tejo!" Fateh exclaimed and held her hand in a hurry, "Please listen to me."

She turned around with eyes glaring at their intertwined hands with repugnance. Baring her teeth, she shoved away his hand and roared, "Never. Ever. Touch. Me. Got it?"

Fateh felt her contempt and bowed his head with a guilty expression. A knot formed in his heart when he realized that she spoke in pure rage, no more was there the longing tint in her eyes that he always saw after their separation. "Sorry," he whispered to which she sneered, "I just want to tell you something."

"Not interested," she replied curtly.

"It's about Beeji!" he exclaimed, making her raise her brow. He took that as her worry and continued, "She is very ill, it's been a year but still the illness keeps on relapsing. Nobody at home is fine. Especially, Papa, he is so..."

"What does this have to do with me?" she asked, extremely irked at his rant.

"What?" he frowned in confusion.

"Mr. Virk," Tejo said sharply, "what does your family problems have to do anything with me? Why the hell are you ranting about it to me?"

"That's your family..."

"I have a family, and it's quite lovely," she interrupted him, "I don't need to adopt anyone else's."

"Tejo, I know you are angry with me, but please think about Beeji. I am sure she will be fine once she sees you," Fateh said earnestly.

Tejo breathed in and out several times, stomping her foot as she brushed her hair away at his vacuity, "Are you dumb?"

"Tejo..."

"I am not a doctor or a magician," she gritted her teeth, "to cure your Beeji merely with my presence." He was about to speak when she added, "And even if I was, I don't care enough to visit her!"

"Tejo," he frowned, "Your anger is justified, but don't be..."

"Oh please," she showed him her left palm, "none of you are worth an ounce of my anger. It's just that I can't stand shamelessness and idiocy. I just can't understand how can you even think that I would care about this." He lowered his head, once again showcasing a pitiful look. Looking at his act of shame, she scoffed and started to leave.

"Tejo, please! Listen to me!" Fateh cried, "Please, I know I made a mistake, but please give me a chance. I beg you. I regret everything, please." He fell on his knees and sobbed, "I know I made a huge mistake, I shouldn't have ch...But please, don't turn away from the family. Don't turn away from me."

She spun around in disbelief. 'Who is he trying to disgust? Me or himself?' she thought in aversion. He was already married to her sister, with whom he cheated on her, yet here he was begging her to not turn away from him. Calling his conscience decision a mistake. 'I guess Jasmine doesn't satisfy him anymore,' Tejo bleched.

She was about to walk away when he held her feet, and begged, "Please Tejo, come back. My life is incomplete without you, please." She tried to get out of his grip but he kept on weeping. Frustrated she pressed a small button on her watch.

"Leave me!" she struggled, but in vain. Soon twenty men in black attire surrounded the two, a few gripped his arm and pulled them away from her.

One offered her his hand and asked, "Ma'am, are you okay?"
