                             Sophie

     Finally, I moved to another place away from the hell. New place... New job... New friends... And most importantly, new life. A long time ago my parents died in a car accident. Since then I'm staying with my adoptive parents. They used to treat me like trash. But now I'm free to live my life happily as I want.
      I was enjoying my life until I met this person. I don't even know who he is or what he does but now he became the most important person in my life. Alex McCarthy CEO of the popular detective company.

                 Six months ago...

      It's Sunday and I don't know what to do today. It's a boring day so I decided to go out and explore. It was going good until I caught up with this person. He was trying to catch a thief. Accidentally we bumped into each other. "Hey..." I shouted. He didn't even turn back to look at me. I fell so hard that I twisted my ankle. I tried to get up but I couldn't it hurts a lot. I slowly got up and found a place to sit. I was examining my ankle until I heard a male voice. "You okay!!", it's the same person who bumped into me. I'm unable to say anything cause I was so lost in his eyes. He is so handsome. "I'm so sorry I didn't see you coming," the stranger said. This time I responded to him "I'm fine". Without asking he knelt before me and started to examine my ankle. " I guess you broke your ankle... I suggest we go to the hospital," the stranger said. I didn't accept it. "But you need to treat your ankle before it gets worse," he said. "I know...but how can I trust a person who I didn't even know?" I said. The stranger outstretched his hands and said "I'm Alex McCarthy. I run a private detective company. Don't worry you will be safe with me." I accepted his hand "I'm Sophie". "Now that we know about each other shall we go to the hospital," he asked. This time I accepted.

      She is one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. I hoisted her up in my arms and helped her into the cab. She didn't complain about lifting her into my arms cause she know that she can't wait with that broken ankle. The ride to the hospital was quiet. After the checkup, I finally decided to break the silence between us "how are you feeling now?" "Better than before" she replied without even looking at me. She is checking her bandaged ankle. After checking her ankle for a few minutes, she finally lifted her head to look at me with a beautiful smile on her face. I have never seen such a beautiful smile before. It made my heart stop beating for a second. I was so lost in her smile that I didn't even realise I was staring at her. "Thank you for your help," she said politely. "It was my fault that you broke your ankle... So I guess it becomes my responsibility to check on you" I said. "You didn't do it on purpose... You were catching a thief and I came up in the middle so I don't think it's your fault. And even after catching that thief, you came back to check on me... It's so sweet of you" She said. She understood what I was doing clearly. If it wasn't her they used to shout for bumping into them.
      I suggest giving her a lift to her place but she refused it. She left by herself. I don't know why but first time in my life I wanted to meet a person again.

                   After a few days...

       The day was going very busy. "Excuse me, Sir!" My Secretary poked her head into my office. "sir, a girl is waiting for you. She doesn't have an appointment." She said. "Send her in", I said. I generally don't mind meeting people even without an appointment. The door of my cabin opened and there she is... The girl about who I was dreaming about for a long time. All the stress and tension left my body just by seeing her. Sophie... The girl of my dreams. I was never taught that I will meet her again in my life. She met my eyes from the front of my cabin. I'm sure she did recognize me. " Hey!!" I greeted her. "Hi!" She said with her sweet voice. "What are you doing here?" She asked me. Confusion was written all over her face. "Well... Last I checked I run this organisation" I answer her sarcastically. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to sound harsh... I was just surprised to see you here" she said. "Please have a seat" I suggested. She sat straight to me so I can see her beautiful eyes. "How are you doing?" I asked her. "I'm perfectly fine," she said. "So... What brings you here?" I asked. "I'm here to ask for a small help for my friend," she said. It's about her ex....he is torturing her to marry him. They broke up a few years ago. He caught cheating on her so many times...she gave up and broke up with him. She taught she would be happy after that. But he is now torturing her. She loves some other person. He made her lover break up with her. I'm sure he will the right person for her" she said. "Well...why isn't your friend here now?" I asked. "She is so afraid to come anywhere. He follows her everywhere. And he won't spare to see her with another guy" she said sadly. I couldn't see her sad. "This is his info of him". She handed over to me his info. " I would have gone to the police but he has connections all over.... so I couldn't go to the police... that's why I decided to come here in the first place," she said. "Don't worry I'll handle it" she looked relieved just by hearing my words. "Really!!"  She asked "of course! Why wouldn't I". I said. "Thanks a lot.... it means a lot," she said happily. "Then.... what about the remuneration," she asked. I forgot about it until she asked. "We will think about it after we finish this job," I said. "Okay!!" She accepted. "But first I would like to meet your friend and talk to her," I asked. "Sure... whenever you are free" she accepted. "Well...how about now" I suggested "if you are free then it's fine for me," she asked. "Okay then...let's go!" I said standing. Without questioning any more she stared with me.
