They laughed. Again. They had both been grinning ear to ear for the entire evening, and they couldn't deny it.
Ever since Aria went back to Ezra, they were spending their entire summer together. They didn't know what they were going to do when it came time for Aria to pack her things and go to college down south, but they decided to cross that bridge when it came time.
Ezra teased Aria, as he put the brownie-topped fork in front of Aria's mouth, the pulled it away before she bit into it. Aria glared at Ezra, and for a second, Ezra thought she was actually angry.
"Aria I-" he started, but couldn't finish because a white, creamy-sweet foam now covered his mouth. Aria laughed so hard Ezra thought she might die.
"Oh, you think you're funny. Don't you?" He teased her.
She continued to spill tears of pure happiness as her tiny body shook with a fit of laughter. Then, Ezra pushed his face onto hers, giving her a whipped-cream filled kiss. When he pulled away, Aria was in pure shock. Her mouth was covered in the same foam as Ezra's.
"Ezra!" She shouted, then pulled him in for a longer, sweeter kiss. Ezra beamed. He was so happy they could have these moments, before they would be gone...
Aria must have known he was thinking about the little number of days they had left, because she released and said, "I can't believe we only have two weeks left."
"Time flies," Ezra sighed.
A tear, that wasn't from laughing, now ran down Aria's cheek. She cuddled under Ezra's arm, as they sat on his couch. "I don't want to leave you," she cried.
Ezra was at a loss for words, so he just rubbed her petite, little back and rested his chin on her head. He would miss her so much more than she could imagine. She would be heart broken, yes, but Ezra envisioned himself moping around the Brew, and then dragging himself back home to sit and write about how much he missed his Aria. It wasn't fair.
"Marry me."
"What?"
"I said, marry me."
"Ezra, are you out of your freaking mind?"
"Aria Elizabeth Montgomery, be my wife." He sat up to look her in the eyes.
Aria stared at him in disbelief. She had always imagined marrying Ezra over and over again in her head, but the words were actually coming out of his mouth, and it didn't seem real at all.
"I don't have rings, I mean I do, but they're my grandparents rings and their really old so we could just go and pick new ones out and-"
"Ezra. I love your grandmothers ring."
"You do? Wait, when did you see it?"
"I was looking in your underwear drawer for your Santa boxers in December, but I didn't expect to see it." Aria blushed a color of bright pink.
Ezra chucked. "Okay. So we have rings. And we could just have a little ceremony. Like you can invite your friends, and family, I'll invite Wes.."
"And we can use key lime pie instead of cake! God, I hate wedding cake." Aria said.
"I know, me too. And you can pick out a dress, find the prettiest one and buy it." Ezra continues.
"And we could have it in my backyard!" Aria smiled once again.
"Would next week seem too rushed?"
"Next week? Hell, lets do this in a couple days! I want to be Mrs. Fitz as soon as I can." Aria exclaimed.
As they clutched each other's hands, darting ideas back and forth, they decided Ezra would sell the brew, and look for a teaching job in the south while Aria takes full time classes. They would buy an apartment close to campus. Everything seemed crazy and rushed, but at the same time perfect.
"Wait.. are you sure you want to do this, Aria? I mean, it's a big commitment and it's really sudden and all." Ezra asked, one last time.
"Ezra, I love you. And I couldn't think of any other person I would want to spend my life with. I do!" She gave him a small, but sentimental kiss and they hugged each other.
It was only the beginning of there life.
