After coming back from the hospital both dad and mom has been a little upset. What can it be that made them upset? I wasn't sure. Though I was curious to know. But even after asking a hundred times they wouldn't tell me.

When I'd meet Yibo he'd just work without any emotion. I felt him a bit distant and distracted these days. What is going on?

Whenever I ask no one answers me. I feel like there's something being cooked up and I'm the only one who doesn't know.

I need to know whatever it is. So I try to pry at Wang Yibo. Right now I'm sitting at a park with Wang Yibo by my side. We were working in a nearby cafe on the project but I gave an excuse of being exhausted and braught him here.

Though he was just looking in front acting like he's paying attention to the nature and the late in front. But I knew he was slightly nervous. I could feel what he felt. My mate mark is working after all.

And if I'm not wrong he knew too that I wasn't really exhausted but needed an excuse be alone with him, away from people.

"You realise you're staring, right?" He said with a smile on his face. It was beautiful and it reached his eyes making it look genuine. But somehow it has a sad untertone to it. I mirror his smile.

"Who told you I wasn't intending to stare?"

He looks at me. His emotions taking turns slowly to settle into a mischievous one. Reflecting on his smile.

"You're becoming bolder day by day."

"Oh? I wasn't before?" Our emotions matched. Both our mischievousness level matching so much so that none of us were willing to leave space for the other.

"No. You were. But it shows now."

"Really? Do you like it?"

His eyes twitched. For a split second I felt fear in his heart. Which vanished just like that. I looked into his eyes. I wanted my fae to enter his consciousness but I stopped myself. There's a thing called communication, Xiao Zhan. Don't be stupid. I scolded myself in my mind.

"Pfft!"

"What? What's so funny?" I look at him turning my eyes into a slit. I know it makes me look like some Confucian leader which is funny but never mind that now.

I didn't wait for his answer. But cover up my own question with another question.

"Wang Yibo." He looks at me softly as if I was his world. It gave a sort of floating feeling in my heart. But wait! I have a question to ask. "Do you like me?"

His eyes look confused. But answers anyway. "Mn."

"Do you love me?" I question again.

"Mn." He hummed without hesitation.

"Then why don't you tell me what is going on? Why do you act distant these days?"

His eyes widened. It was evident that he didn't expect the question. But I didn't see any sign of him intending to answer. "Aren't you going to answer?"

"Zhan." It's the first time he said my name with that much love. "I'm sorry. Please don't bring it up."

He turns around to avoid my eyes. I was shocked, confused. Why? Why won't you tell me, Wang Yibo? What is it that you're not telling me?

Yibo brought be back to reality by calling out my name.

"Xiao Zhan. We need to go back. We have a project to finish." Then he starts walking away from me. I look at his receding back and thoughts started engulfing me.
