13. Heat of the Moment

Cassie's 1st Person POV

Buzz buzz buzz

My phone vibrating on my bathroom sink counter grabs my attention. I put down my makeup brush that I was using to apply some light eye shadow. I'm not going out but I want to look presentable for my guest who I'm expecting soon. I pick up my phone and see Jin's name flashing across the screen, so I answer the call.

Cassie:
"What's up Jinnie?"

Jin:
"What are you up to?"

Cassie:
"Um...Yoongi is coming over for dinner and to watch movies."

Jin:
"SHUT UP!"

He practically screams into the phone, making me move my device away from my ear for a moment. I chuckle at his response.

Cassie:
"I will not."

Jin:
"First off, I'm a little disappointed I didn't get to really talk to him when you guys all came into the restaurant last week! All I got to do was say a measly 'hello' to him."

Cassie:
"Your restaurant was so busy that night! I wish you had more time to talk to him."

Jin:
"Me, too. By the way, you looked like you were on a date with both Yoongi and Jeongguk. I'm slightly jealous. Well, not of Jeongguk since he's like a brother to me."

I roll my eyes at what he just uttered out.

Cassie:
"Yeah, whatever. It wasn't a date!"

Jin:
"Jeongguk looked a little jealous of you two when I saw you guys."

Cassie:
"You think so? On the drive home after dinner, Kook flat-out asked me if I had a thing for Yoongi. I told him I found Yoongi attractive but that nothing is going on. Yoongi and I are just friends. He kept saying it seemed like there is something going on between us."

Jin:
"Yes, definitely sounds like our little Kook is jealous."

Cassie:
"I don't know."

Jin:
"That's just what I observed from the brief time I saw you all together."

Cassie:
"Kook couldn't be jealous of me and Yoongi getting closer. And, again, Yoongi is a friend!"

Jin:
"You keep saying it as if you're trying to convince yourself. You are so attracted to Yoongi! Don't lie!"

Cassie:
"Okay, I might be, but nothing will come of it, I don't think..."

Jin:
"You don't think so? Because, I do!"

Cassie:
"Okay, so maybe I've fantasized about him. But it's just a fantasy!"

Jin:
"Have you fantasized about Yoongi AND Jeongguk?!"
