This can't be real

From Thalia's point of view

So last year I was the girl who sat in the front row in class, I never went to one party, I had one friend who was also a lot like me, we went to the library at lunch to study and were the good girls.! This year it is going to change its my last year of school and I'm not going to be a nerd.I'm just gonna let loose. I never said I was going to stop being smart I said I was going to relax a little more go to some party's find some more friends be more social. But I have one problem my friend Samantha doesn't think this is a good idea so should I leave her behind or drag her along with me?

Ok it's my first day of school and I put my uniform on its a dress with white and blue stripes I got it shortened over the holidays cause it was just to long and I looked like a dag!! I head downstairs and quickly grab an apple for breakfast I say bye to my mum and dad. Oh yeah I forgot to tell you about my twin brother Evan he is like the most popular boy in our class and plays for the school soccer team. We are really close so we usually never fight. I really love spending time with Evan cause he is so nice I'm always sitting in his room with him just talking to him and he really enjoys it as well...

I'm on the bus sitting next to Evan and a girl from behind me taps my shoulder " I don't think we have met before... I'm Layla what's ur name". OMG Layla Tarlen actually just spoke to me I've been in her class since seventh grade how does she not know me I don't look that different. I just put some makeup on, my new dress and left my hair down and she is actually talking to me.... WHAT!!! "Um I've been in your grade since grade 7 but I don't think we have talked to each other before. My name is Thalia Niopoulos". Her cheeks go red as she blushes and apologises, but it's ok I hope if I actually do look different it's a good different....

When I walk into school literally everybody looks straight at me but I walk down the school halls as if I don't even notice boys and girls looking me up and down. I make my way to my new locker and put my bag in and grab my books out for the first 2 periods of the day. In biology when we have to pick a partner 3 of the hottest boys on the soccer team ask to be my partner but Samantha steals me away from them. :(

In maths I go and sit in my normal spot and Alex Palia comes and sits next to me. Just so you know Alex Palia is like the most beautiful boy to look at. Through the whole of maths he is talking to me and trying to get to know me better but I'm really nervous so I kind of keep shutting down the conversation by actually doing some work. At the end of class when I'm about to leave Alex says "can I have your number cause I might need help studying" I pull out my phone and read my number to him to put in his phone. I can't believe I just gave Alex my number what is Samantha going to think of this?

At recess Samantha and I make our way to our special spot under the big tree that's what we called it when we started going to sit there in year 7 and it just stuck! I pulled out my phone from my pocket and realised I had a text from Alex. Wow that was quick of him to text me already. "Who is it" Samantha says, should I tell her who it actually is or say it's my mum or something. "Oh it's just Alex Palia, in maths he asked for my number cause he wanted to study with me....".
"You do realise all he wants is sex and then he is finished with you. He is the biggest player in the school and you know that Thalia, now don't be a silly girl and say yes to hanging out with him. Today after school I was thinking we could go to the library to study for the test that is coming up in a couple of weeks for biology. What do u think?" Ok maybe I should of said it was my mum not Alex but I just got another text from him saying he wants to catch up after school and take me to the smoothie place down the road from school. " sorry Sam but mum needs me home after school maybe another time". She looks a bit upset but she always understands when I'm busy. I quickly text Alex back saying,
sure meet you at the front of the school at 3:40pm? Send.
Sure see you then... Wait do we have any other classes together?
No I don't think so I have to go see you after school
