The drops sliding through these windows, one by one
In the taxi back to the hotel, Ilgaz maintained an uncomfortable silence, which Eren couldn't break. He knew his friend long enough to understand that when he reached that introspection there was no point in trying to talk, his thoughts formed and only when all the theories were ready, would he speak. And it was impossible for Ilgaz to have seen that child, so much like him, and not have thought of the same things the commissioner was sure of just seeing them together.
– Are you okay, abi? – he didn't answer, just shook his head. – Kardeşim... do not act rashly.
– And when have I been rash in all my life, Eren? – there was anger in his friend's eyes. Sorrow, deep and felt.
– Listen to what happened first.
– It won't do any good, Komiser. It's one thing to know that she followed her life after us, another to see it with my own eyes. – "Ne?! Could it be...?"
– Abi, but you didn't see that... – so Eren stopped himself. For things like that it was said that those who are in the eye of the hurricane do not realize the extent of the damage. It wasn't his role to say those things, even if Ilgaz, from within the situation, couldn't see the truth. – I hope you understand each other.
– I don't expect anything else from Ceylin, abi. Let's finish our mission and go home to our normalcy. – Looking away, Ilgaz smothered his own sadness and Eren wondered how long that illusion would last.

Neva paced the room, agitated: any decisions she made after that phone call would be bad, just changing her point of view. If she stayed and waited for the gendarmerie chief and the commissioner, she would miss the chance to meet Merve's killers face to face. If she went alone to meet them, Ilgaz and Eren would go mad at her 'irresponsibility'. Her contacts in Mardin had given her that information with an urgency that made her yearn and hesitate in equal measure. A bad time for Ilgaz and Eren to be missing since last night.
"Call your men, they're fueling up, you can surround them on the way out of town." Calling the men involved alerting Ceylin Erguvan, and after the argument they'd had at the station, the possibility of talking to that woman made her stomach turn. "Be professional, Neva. Don't repeat the same mistakes as yesterday.", the mind screamed and kicked, but stubbornness was a very strong trait of her characteristics. And because she was upset again, remembering last night, the prosecutor decided what to do: "Ilgaz Bey, send Mardin's team to this address. Bojan Vlasic and his men were seen with the convoy getting ready to leave town. I'm going ahead in plain clothes."
But Neva's biggest mistake was not checking to see if the message arrived.

– Neva Savcı left very early and left no message at reception, sir. – the hotel employee had brought a cell phone charger – his had been lost somewhere during the night – and the information, requested as soon as he entered the room. Information about guests wasn't usually shared, but the trio there was different and Ilgaz Kaya could be incisive when he wanted to.
– Teşekkürler. – he thanked her and the girl left, leaving Ilgaz alone to put the cell phone to charge, turned off since dawn, take a shower without haste and read the day's newspaper after getting ready, waiting for Eren to knock on his door, immersed in thoughts.
The woman, who was still driving him crazy.
The house, where the only male presence that seemed to exist was her grandfather, the friendly Merdan Erguvan.
