Zoe's POV

After Percy finished shouting his orders I raced off to fight. Since End hasn't shown his face yet, Percy and Astro are going to help kill off the army of monsters. When End does get here, I am on strict orders to take out the spies with the rest of the team, spare Astro and Percy. The first monsters I encountered were a group of hellhounds. I took out my hunting knives and charged. The first one was taken down easy by a slash to the neck, it crumbled to dust instantly. The next few charged all at once, but I fought them off. I slashed at one and stabbed the other, taking out two at a time. The last one lunged at me, but I jumped and landed in a roll. I did a 180 and took out the last hellhound in the pack.

I could see Percy and Astro's clear lines and breaks they had made in the army. They went in opposite directions, allowing the campers some room to fight everything off. I could see Luke stalking towards Kronos with hate and loathing. He was calmly swiping his sword and blocking any attacks that came in his way of revenge. Gaea was being battled by Nico, Bianca, and Thalia. Thalia was controlling lightning, Nico was binding her with shadows, and Bianca shot arrows at the speed of a machine gun, each one piercing her dirt skin. I could hear the twang of the bowstring from here, music to my ears.

End still isn't here, which worries me. The spies are calmly standing in full armor in the back of the army and watching them fight. I think they are waiting for End to get here too. Annabeth was focusing her sharp gaze on the monsters and every attack. Alex was flipping his sword around like an idiot, while Isabella looked a little uncomfortable. I could tell that she didn't feel like she fit in with Annabeth and Alex and she wanted to be somewhere else. I felt a bit sorry for the girl. When I was done observing the fight, I spotted a concentrated spot of monsters and started to charge with fearlessness in each step, my combat boots pounding against the Earth.

Down there, the group was made of hellhounds, dracaena, and a few cyclopes. I fought through before I heard a familiar growl make its way across the battlefield, the Minotaur. Percy must have heard it too because his line of destruction paused and his body swiveled to the sound. I worked on my monsters at hand but also looking out of the corner of my eye to see Percy fight the Minotaur. The Minotaur was very stupid, and just this once Percy managed to fight with his smarts. When I took down the monsters I had been dealing with, I saw that the army of monsters was decreasing quite a lot. I jumped back into battle once again to help and fight.

Luke's POV

I stalked through the field of monsters looking for the one deity that I swore revenge on, Kronos. That stupid Titan took control of my body and I paid the price for it. Any of the monsters who were in my way were knocked back by my sword which I was swinging in wide arcs to clear a path. Every once and a while I saw Percy come into my field of vision, his swords glinting a deadly dark light. He was taking monsters out left and right, waiting for End to come. He had his enemy, I had mine.

When I reached Kronos, he seemed surprised to see me alive. He had a black robe and the same gold eyes as always. They seemed to stare into my soul, but I didn't flinch at his hard gaze, I merely shrugged and brought out my sword. Kronos seemed to get the message and brought out a long and black broadsword. I was going to have so much fun taking him down. As we started to circle, we decided to bring up a little conversation.

"What a surprise to see you alive," Kronos sneered.

"Same to you. I thought you would have stayed in Tartarus long enough for me to come and visit," I said back with an edge to my voice.

"Let's just get this over with so I can kill you," Kronos growled and lunged at my side. I blocked and swung back.

We went on in a deadly dance of blades for a while, long enough for the monster army to be cut in half in its size. Both of us had gotten some good cuts on the other, but Kronos was losing, slowly but surely. I decided to end this fast, so I went at him with a flurry of attacks with lots of speed. He barely managed to block, so while he was distracted, I found an opening in his defense. In this moment of confusion, I jabbed my sword through his stomach, his eyes wide in surprise. It felt good to see him fall and the golden ichor roll down my blade. He gave one last breath before going down to Tartarus again.
