CHAPTER 07

3 WEEKS LATER

3rd Pov:

Fews weeks went by and the research is going steady. They made some progress here and here but nothing major. Meredith was balancing her life in two places. She is very busy acknowledging anything about her romance department. To tell the truth, she is avoiding the topic of dating Nick. She was sitting alone in the bar near her apartment thinking about everything going on in her life right now. She was lost in her thoughts when someone sat on the barstool beside her ordered a drink and said “Hey” The sound of the stranger startled her. She came back from her reverie.

MOV:
I looked at the occupant who greeted me then I saw who it was
“oh hey” I said.

"So how are you doing? I haven’t heard from you in the last two months?" He said.

"Yeah actually, I’m very busy with the research and travelling between two cities. So how are you?" I said.

"I’m good. So do you want a refill? Your drink is almost finished." He said.

" No, actually I already had a refill and I don’t want to end up drunk." I said.

After my reply there is this silence and I know something is coming up. So I waited for him to continue the conversation.

"So Meredith have you gave a  thought about our lost conversation." He said.

There it is. I've been avoiding this topic for a long time. What am I going to do? I have too much on my plate right now.

" So?" Nick said. Without giving me a chance to reply, he stated "do you want to go on a date with me tomorrow?"

Okay, so what am I’m going to do? It’s been months since I went on a date. I think it will be good to accept it’s just one date, not like I’m going to have sex or something. But it’s really been a long time since I had sex.

" Okay, I will go tomorrow but my shift ends at 7:30." I said.

" I will pick you up at 8 from the lobby." He smiled.

"Good night nick. See you tomorrow." I said.

"Good night Mer." He said.

And I left the bar and went to my apartment.
