THE NEXT MORNING AFTER LAST nights chaotic events, Scarlett sits on Klaus's bed as he lay unconscious. The Original vampire gaps in pain from Papa Tunde's blade still being inside his chest, Scarlett is worried about him, they may not have the most perfect relationship but she know's he cares about her and she cares about him. She gently takes his hand in her own and squeezes it gently.
From outside the room Elijah watches his niece closely to make sure she's safe.
A few seconds later and Elijah vamp speeds into Klaus's bedroom with Cami.
"The dagger the witch gave me is inside of him?"Cami asks with a concern in her voice.
Scarlett watches as Elijah rolls up his sleeves. "And every second it remains causes Niklaus untold suffering"Elijah explains to the pair.
"Who stabbed him?"Cami asks.
"I did, and now I intend to remove it. You might want to take a step back"Elijah tells her bluntly.
Cami looks at Elijah and Scarlett confused. "Why am I here?".
"Because of all the people that could be here, you and Scarlett are probably the only one's he wouldn't immediately slaughter"Elijah tells them.
Elijah then uses a scalpel to slice into him, along the red scar bisecting his chest, before jamming his fist into the open wound to grab the blade. "Also, he speaks of you with what is a rare degree-- for him, at least-- of respect. I can see you challenge him to see himself and others in a new light"Elijah explains to Cami.
Elijah then finally pulls the blade out of Klaus's chest, he screams out in pain and unintentionally squeezes Scarlett's hand extremely hard, the sounds of broken bones echoes in the room along with Klaus's screams. Scarlett grunts in pain but knows the bones in her hand will heal very quickly.
"A wonderful skill that I shall be counting on very shortly. You see, Niklaus will be weak as he recovers. So, watch over him and feed him, if you would. But slowly, please, and from your wrist"Elijah tells Cami while watching his niece as the look of pain is evident on her face.
"Don't you guys have bags of blood in storage"Cami asks confused.
Elijah turns to Cami. "We do, but your blood is laced with vervain. So, it will burn him. He'll ingest it slower. Perhaps you and Scarlett could use the time constructively? Persuade him not to murder his baby sister"Elijah tells the two sincerely.
Elijah turns to Klaus. "Niklaus, it was not my desire to bring you pain, but I will not see you hurt Rebekah"Elijah tells Klaus before turning back to Cami and Scarlett. "Now, I fear Sabine will be making a final move against us. I intend to find her and to end this"
From next to her Scarlett hears Klaus whisper quietly. "Elijah, you will pay"His voice is weak and full of pain and betrayal.
