I was just strolling in the mall when a familiar man came to me
" Ohh hi Mr. President!" I greeted
"Hello Senator Imee! How are you?" he replied
"I'm fine sir. Btw what brings you here?" I ask
"Just strolling and getting away from work for a while" he responded
I am a bit of shock when he invited me for a dinner since it's almost 7 in the evening.
At the restaurant*
"Thank you Mr. President for inviting me to accompany you for dinner" i started since there is an awkward silence.
"Ohh well you're welcome Josefa, and thank you too for agreeing to this dinner" he replied.
"Ohh please don't call me Josefa Mr. President nakaka lola" i said playfully.
"And don't call me Mr. President all the time too" he murmured.
"Ok it's a deal then" i ended
Our foods arrived and it looks exquisitely delicious! I ordered a medium rare steak and a salad as a side dish, he ordered a fillet mignon and a potato marbles as a accompaniment to the mignon.
We talk and talk till we finished eating.
"That was a diet breaker dinner!" I complained.
"But it is worth it doesn't it?" He chimed in.
"Ohh yes absolutely" i said happily.
He insist on taking me to my house because it's a little late.
At the car*
"You know Josefa i was just wondering if i can take you to lunch tomorrow ?" He suddenly said.
I was startled and reapplied " Yes of course Rod!" "Anytime" i said shyly.
"No i mean on a date?" "I that still ok?" He said seriously.
"No we can't Mr. President you have a wife and we have a lot of issues we need to fix so please this things can step aside so that we can't create another issue?!" I said panicking.
"Ohh sorry hindi ko sinasadya Senator Imee. I know what you mean but i don't have wife and it's a private matter" he reasoned.
" I'm sorry Mr. President we can't date" i ended and we drove home in a uncomfortable silence.
We arrived at my house and bid our goodbyes
"Good night Senator see you again tomorrow" he said sadly.
"Good night see you" *coldly*
I entered the house and lock it then my tears starts to fall
( Why do all people who loves need to suffer like this. I can't love him dearly because of other people's judgement and it's another punch to out family that will hurt us not just me. So i need to contain this till it fades away.)
I fell asleep crying because of what just happened, i never cry for a man who just wants to date me but this time, this time is different.
Love can weather fix you, or break you.
I will face this Even if it Pains me
