Chapter 4: Defeat

Narrator POV

Attack, dodge, seek for an opening, and Survive

That was the only thing Shenhe could do at the moment

She thought she was ready, and could finally be on par with Y/N, but she was far from the truth

Since the start of the fight, and their first clash, Y/N didn't moved an inch from his place, and only countered every hit Shenhe launched at him

But for her, it was a chance to not miss

He was looking down on her, and it means she can surprise him

Alas, that was what she thought before she understood

Y/N: Are you done with your attack? I feel like it is more a training than a fight

Shenhe: Shut up!

Y/N stab his sword on the ground, before Shenhe smiled at this

Shenhe: Finally, an opening!

She rushed at him, and intended to stab him, to end the match right away

But to her shock, Y/N raised right arm above him and clench his fist

It was alwready too late for her, as Y/N side stepped, and elbowed her head toward the ground

Y/N walk back to his sword, before he hear some grunt behind him, and see Shenhe getting up

Shenhe: No....... Not yet.......

Y/N: You don't understand? You can't win, give up

Shenhe: I..... can't...... People are counting on me....... I need to win........

Y/N: Hmm?

She grabbed her spear, before sending multiple attacks at Y/N, who dodged them all without effort

Y/N: She's far slower than before, but her hit are somehow stronger..... 

Shenhe: I got you!

She almost hit his chest, but Y/N parry her hit, using the back of his sword to deviate the spear, and make it aim toward the ground

It stabbed on the ground, as now, Shenhe couldn't take it off

Y/N: Like I said, give up, and we can stop it here

Shenhe: No....... S-Someone need to put the example......

Y/N: Example of beating someone that did nothing to you?

Y/N knocked her back, as she slide on the ground, but got up again

Shenhe: No one is invincible, and it goes for you too...... I need to beat you, so every person that will try to destroy Liyue are warned, that even the strongest........ can be taken down.......

She took a step ahead, but she falled to her kness, not able to walk anymore

Shenhe: Who am I fooling here...... I can't even walk properly, and say I will defeat you.....? I should be ashamed of myself......

She started to sob, tears falling from her eyes

Y/N: .........

Shenhe: I-I was jealous of you....... That you could still smile, and even be the strongest fighter of Liyue at the same time.......

She looked at him, crying, and blood falling from her forehead

Shenhe: I wanted to be like you, but I failed! I always fail everything........
