Tails X Cream

Chapter 2: The Sleepover

I looked down, just for a second and then jerked my head back up. I was so close to death, only a couple more seconds and... SPLAT!

"I always thought my last words would be heroic... But I'm too scared to even think right now!"

I was just about to plummet into the ground, but I felt someone catch me... Cream!

"Oh no, are you ok Mr.Tails?"

"I wouldn't of been if it weren't for you. Thanks a lot!"

"No problem Mr.Tails, but what happened?"

"Well its a long story, but basically me, Sonic and Knuckles were having a race on Angel Island, but I... um..."

Tails began to blush, embarrassed of how he fell off Angel Island.

"Its ok Mr.Tails, I won't laugh"

You know how loud it is when your big brother slams the door to his room after an argument about having a party while your parents were away? That's how deep of a breath Tails took before he told Cream what happened, just for context.

"I... tripped on a rock."

"Oh, I see. 

"(Huh, I thought Cream would be practically crying in laughter...)"

"Why didn't you just fly back onto the island Mr.Tails?"

"I... got too tired of flying"

"Oh. Um, by the way Mr.Tails, is it ok if I let you go now? My arms are getting tired..."

Cream was still holding me. I'm such a idiot!

"Oh yeah, sure. I'm ok"

Tails jumped out of her arms and started using his tails to fly again.

"Does Sonic or Knuckles know you fell?"

"No. They didn't see me fall. And I can't contact them because I left my phone in the Tornado X..."

"Oh. Well they're bound to notice eventually, and then they'll use the Big Green Chaos Emerald to come down here!" 

"Yeah. Might take them a while though, they seemed really invested in that race of ours..."

Cream giggled a bit, and blushed just barely unnoticeably before asking...

"Do you wanna come back to my house and have a sleepover until Sonic and Knuckles find you?"

Tails thought for a second. It had been a while since he saw Cream and a sleepover DID sound fun... But Sonic wouldn't know he'd be at Cream's house...

"Alright then, but I just need to run to my house to leave a note for Sonic."

"Ok Mr.Tails, while you do that I'll let mom know you're coming over. See you later!"

Tails sped to his house, got some A5 paper and started writing his note:

Sonic

During our race I fell off Angel Island and couldn't fly back up. Luckily, Cream was around and caught me, but I left my phone in the Tornado X so I couldn't message you. I'm at Creams for a sleep over, I'll try to be home as early as possible to see you.

Tails dashed back to Cream's house and knocked on the door. Vanilla answered and let him in. Tail's and Cream played a board game, drew some pictures and watched a superhero movie about a guy in underpants. Then, they were sent to bed. Vanilla let them have her room and slept on the couch.

"That was a fun day, wasn't it Mr.Tails?

"Yeah... oh, and Cream?"

"Yes Mr.Tails?"

"You can just call me Tails if you want"

"But mom said it's nice to call people Ms and Mr"

"Well I don't really mind, in fact, I'd prefer if you did call me Tails instead of Mr.Tails. Being honest, it sounds quite silly."

Cream giggled a bit

"Oh ok then. Goodnight... Tails."

"Goodnight... Ms.Cream."

Cream giggled a bit harder than the last time, and then they lied down on their sides of the bed.

Cream fell asleep almost instantly. After a few minutes, Tails caught himself staring at her and started blushing

"(Why was I staring at Cream?)"

Tails pondered this question for a bit

"(Well it probably doesn't matter, I should just go to sleep.)"

But Tails couldn't fall asleep. All he could do was continue to stare at Cream.
