"Fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK!" Alex paced back and forth across the floor of his dorm."You're annoying as hell when you're stressed," Alex's roommate sneered. The tall brunette leaned back and examined his nails. "Like, seriously, Quack? Calm down already. He likes you, you like him back, you're going out. It's as simple as that."
Alex flopped on his bed and buried his face in his pillow. He groaned into the pillow and rolled over, still holding the pillow to his face.
His roommate walked over, pulling the pillow off his face and glaring at him. "I swear to God Alex if you don't shut up I'm gonna suffocate you with this."
Alex just stared at him, a look of total despair on his face. The brunette sighed and hit Alex with the pillow, "Get up, he's coming to get you in ten minutes and you look like shit.""I don't even know where we're going, Schlatt! What if I get all dressed up and we go to fucking Burger King!" Alex yelled.
"First off, if he takes you to Burger King for a date then your outfit is the least of your worries. Second, wear a white dress shirt, they go with everything."
"What if he's a psychopath and murders me or something!"
"I'M GONNA MURDER YOU IF YOU DON'T SHUT THE FUCK UP!" Schlatt hit him with the pillow again.
"Now get up!"
Alex sighed and he grumbled as he stood up. He walked over to his closet and begrudgingly opened the doors. He grabbed a white long-sleeved button-up out, and pulled it on over his undershirt, and buttoned it. He ran his fingers through his hair to try to tame it a bit before pulling his beanie over it. He tucked the shirt into his jeans and looked back at Schlatt, "There, good enough?"
"It'll do," Schlatt said, tossing the pillow back onto Alex's bed. Schlatt looked to the side at Alex's phone that sat on the dresser. It lit up and made a 'bing!' noise. Schlatt walked over and picked the phone up.
He looked at the notification.

Hey! I'm here! Sorry I'm early, I can wait if you're still getting ready!'Damn, he's polite' Schlatt thought.
"Hey, Quack, loverboy's here, " Schlatt said, holding up Alex's phone.
A look of panic washed over the barista's face, "Shit, shit, shit! He wasn't meant to be here for another six minutes!"
"What does it matter? You're already ready?" Schlatt walked over, handing Alex his phone and straightening out his slightly crooked beanie. "Okay, c'mon," Schlatt grabbed Alex's wrist, "I want to see this guy." Schlatt started toward that door, practically dragging Alex behind him and ignoring Alex's stammered protests as they made their way out of the dorm and into the elevator.
Schlatt let go of Alex's wrist and pressed the button for the first floor. Alex nervously fiddled with his fingers, Schlatt looked over.
He sighed, "Alex, you'll do fine."
"This is my first date Schlatt, what if I fuck it up?"
"You won't, plus, based on what you've told me and that text, this guy seems unnaturally nice, so stop worrying so much."
"Okay, " Alex took a deep breath, fixating a more confident look on his face, "Okay."
The elevator dinged and the doors slid open. Alex inhaled and marched out of the elevator. Schlatt trailed behind him.
As they got closer to the glass doors, Alex spotted Wilbur. He was sitting in his car looking down at his phone as he waited.
Alex hesitantly opened the door and stepped outside. Wilbur perked up when he noticed the doors open. A wide smile grew on the musician's face and his eyes lit up.
The brunette sported a red plaid jacket with a black shirt, along with his signature beanie. His hair was messy as always, but in a charming way, he at least looked like he had make some effort to control it.
Schlatt leaned down to whisper in his ear, "Quack, if you don't date that guy, I will."

Schlatt sat in the living room, bouncing his leg up and down as he looked down at his phone. The door to their small apartment creaked open.
Alex stumbled in and staggered over to the couch. He flopped down face-first next to Schlatt and loudly whined.
"Went that bad?" Schlatt asked.
"No, " Alex said, lifting his head up, "it went perfectly..." Alex muttered, letting his head drop down again.
"Then why are you acting like he told you he kicks puppies for a living?"
"He's perfect, Schlatt! He's funny! He's smart! He's hot! He writes songs, Schlatt! And they're fucking amazing too!"
"Then what's your fucking deal?" The brunette raised his voice slightly, causing Alex to flinch.
"He's too good, Schlatt, I don't understand this..."
"Don't understand what? You're being annoying, just tell me what the fuck your issue is."
"This! This, Schlatt! Why the fuck would a smart, funny, hot, musician just see me and decide 'I'm gonna go on a date with this guy!"
Schlatt sighed, "Alex... You're a good guy, I can see what he sees in you, but if you don't stop acting like a flustered idiot then you're gonna fuck it up. You have to just accept that he likes you, and you like him." Alex didn't say anything, he just stared at Schlatt and flopped his head down onto his lap.
He put his hand on Alex's head and leaned back, "Quack, you are the most dramatic son of a bitch I've ever met and I don't know why I put up with your shit."
