Location;Sanders Academy of Art 1-13-13
I set in the back of the classroom daydreaming about Valeriah. "Chresanto, Chresanto did you hear me what time is the writers club meeting this friday?" My english teacher Mrs. Stanley asked. "I don't know Mrs. Stanley." I said bluntly and not really caring. She walked away and the class laughed. I went back to daydreaming about Valeriah until I felt a tap on my shoulder. I sighed and turned around and it was Laura. Before I go any further let me tell you about Laura. She has been in love with me since we were kids and I just never felt the same way about her. Any girlfriend I ever had she tried to sabotage our relationship. Pathetic
"Hey Chres , You look great today," She said "Thanks," I simply replied and began to turn around until she tapped me again. "Chres,my mom wants you to come over tonight." I just sighed and turned around. The bell signalled class was over. I quickly walked out and bumped into someone. "Sorry," Her little voice said and I already knew who it was."It's okay love." I replied helping her up. For a moment we shared a quick gaze until I heard a voice behind us. "Hey Val, can you show me where Advanced Arts is?" A boy with a curly afro said. He must've been the new boy everyone was talking about. "Yea, um Chres see ya later." With that she walked away with the boy.
There goes my moment.
~3 hours later~
I was in my last class of the day theater. And just my luck Valeriah and the new boy Jacob was in there. I watched as they laughed and talked about things and how whenever they stopped she would just look at him like he was some god. I never was the jealous type but when it comes to Valeriah any thing involving another boy I was beyond jealous. I looked at them once more and sighed. I sat in silence until the teacher came in. "Today class I have a few things to tell you." Mr. James said and the class groaned. He laughed. "Now, kids I think you would like the first announcement. Ok. So as you all know the Dear Future Love contest is coming up." He paused and the class cheered. Here at Sanders Dear Future Love was like the biggest event here and everyone wanted their letters to be choosen including myself. Mr. James began to talk again "Secondly, we will be starting the production of Romeo and Juliet which means auditions are coming up soon." He finished and Jacob raised his hand. "Mr. James what is dear future love?" He asked. Mr. James looked confused until he realized Jacob was new. " It is a contest where kids send in anonymous letters to their future loves and whos ever get chosen have there letters posted in the schools newspaper everyday until Valentine's day. Then they reveil themselves and who their future love is." Jacob looked interested and glanced over at Val who was quickly writing away in her journal. I knew who I was going to write to and mines had to be chosen.
