Skyler sat in her classroom like she was told. She listened to the instructions her teacher gave her and sat quietly. Suddenly she sat straight up and screamed as the whole class fell under their desks and a bright light flooded the room.
When it faded she was the only thing left alive, she smiled and went back to her worksheet. When she got home First lectured her about taking so many young lives. She smiled and simply answered, "They couldn't connect, they were worthless to your cause." They moved later that day.
"Look, we don't need people that can't connect, they're worthless."
"How do you know they can not connect? No one knows that till we try."
"I can see it."
"Alright, Skyler. Here's the plan."
She sat on the counter ate a bagel and listened
"We trap the Dark spy outside the valley, letting us find and fight the Creator and his army without their distractions. When the time's right we bribe that buffoon and have him turn his mercenaries on his people. Let us just hope that his foolish son doesn't do something he'll regret."
"What about that creature?"
"So far we need not worry about the Levia."
"But…"
"We don’t need to worry. Listen and obey."
She nodded
"Tell the men that on the third they attack and destroy those dark spy idiots under their king's guide."
"Yes First."
The vision faded from his view and soon he woke out of the trance.
"Call an emergency meeting, now." He told his companion. They left him to be taken care of by the shaman.
Maoz sat up in a cold sweat. He grabbed the glass of water off his nightstand, exhausted from the retrocognition, he downed the glass. The shaman in the chair next to his bed looked at him questioningly.
“I saw her. Her past and present. She and First have set their plan into motion, and there is no going back. Alert the high council. I'm calling a meeting to discuss the new information.”
The shaman nodded and stood, they bowed to each other and she left to do her prince's bidding.
Maoz took his cowl off the backboard and pulled it over his head, covering his mouth. He stepped out of his tent into the afternoon air. The camp was a buzz of conversation. The vision he shared of the girl the day before had spread through the army.
He walked through the camp towards the war tent, people bowed as he passed, and he waved at them quietly. When he arrived at the war tent all of the high council was already there and as usual arguing.
"Young Prince, why have you called us together?" General Aron questioned when Maoz quieted them down.
"The girl and First have made their move. Now it's our turn." He told them the vision he had of the girl, and how she had successfully performed precognition, and how Tarence was preparing an attack on their enemy.
"We need to stop this war now! We can't let either of them win!" A counsel woman stated after Maoz had finished. Her passion on her sleeves.
"This must end now," agreed the Counselman Eser "But we need to deal with this situation carefully. We've got to reveal their plan."
"Precisely perfect idea, Eser." Gushed Isabel, Maoz's fiancée. She was tall and fit.
Like all Hesh, she wore her cowl over her mouth, a sign of premarital status among their people. Her uniform was tight and orderly with the Hesh signia pinned on her shoulder.
