Meltem's Pov

Meltem Willow is my name, and I am seventeen years old.
My only sibling is my older brother, 18-year-old Caden.
Our so-called caring aunty no longer wanted to take care of us after both of our parents passed away when we were still young, so we were forced to live with our uncle for a while before having to live on our own. So now Caden and I are the only people living alone.
The best friend of Caden is a fellow 18-year-old.

I'm kind of in love with Arderas.
Okay, you got me.
It's no secret that I have a serious crush on him.

He may be my brother's best friend, but who gives a damn?

I think he loves me as much as I love him.

"Meltem?"

I dashed down the stairs in my school clothes when my brother Caden yelled from downstairs. I'd only been home for an hour and hadn't changed my clothes.

"I'm coming!" I yelled after him and ran over to where he was waiting by the door. Caden prepares to leave by putting his jacket on.

"When Arderas arrives and we leave, I'd like you to lock up behind us. I don't want anyone to come here, and if anyone does knock-"

"Yes, Caden, I get it. If a stranger knocks, do not answer the door."

"Good." He stated.I widened my grin and pushed my glasses up higher in my face.
I hoped to join them because I had never been to a party before.

" Caden, I was wondering if I could."

" No," He said it as if he knew what I was going to say to him. I fidgeted with my fingers and clutched my hands. I sighed deeply and bit my lower lip. I looked up when the front door opened and saw him. My blue eyes twinkle and gleam in his presence.

My crush, the man of my dreams.

Arderas.

Arderas steps in, "Hey man." My heart started to beat faster when I noticed him wearing his typical white shirt and black leather jacket. He carefully closed the door behind him before smiling at my brother and flashing his white teeth. They gave each other hugs and pats on the backs. Arderas turns to face me and approaches, his smile beginning to wane as he nods. "Hey Meltem,"

" H-Hey" I murmured nervously as I drew my glasses up and tucked my hair behind my ear.
As I looked down, my cheeks began to flush.

Oh, my goodness.

He's ridiculously cute.

He was still staring at me, grinning, and scratching his jaw when I turned back to look at him. My brother touches him on the shoulder, and they both turn their bodies towards the front door.

Arderas pauses and looks over at me with a slight blank expression as he thinks of something to say."Won't Meltem be joining us?"

Caden pauses to turn his attention to me after Arderas asks my brother.

Caden scoffs as he looks at me. "What is she going to do at a party full of 18-year-olds and up, bro?" Caden remarked.

I creased my brows and gripped my fingers in the hope that he would allow me to join them.
